I watch him often too. He’s been a good friend to me and is a good person, plus his videos always make me laugh. He was just as much fun in person too! Beep is such a kind, gentle soul. I really enjoyed getting to meet and hunt with him too. I would definitely give curb strips another go, but it would be nice to find some with soil slightly softer than concrete.😂🤣😂

That was the hardest ground I’ve ever tried to dig, Steve. No joke! These guys talked me into trying the curb strips; not something I ever dreamed I would do. It ended up being loads of fun and we met half the neighborhood to boot.🙂🍀

That is so awesome! I am just now beginning to start my relationship with the EARTH! I have been fascinated with metal detecting and finding beautiful lost treasures from history! Which history is just fascinating beyond words and thus finding the proof of what used to be has such a tangible story. So I'm a broke college student with actually $8 to my name so I borrowed one from a friend, a cheap $65 one never held a high quality one before , but now I know this is my passion and I am intent on saving for a good one ! Great fun and finds. Tokens are always a great piece of culture no matter where your at. I guess the curb stripping took place after the camera shut off! Haha 😛

You need some stylish kneepads, Darlin..you can always use a bolt or two..29 cents at the hardware store..you are so cute when you find a treasure..thanks for the video.

Nice hunt! My back would be killing me using my hand digger but sometimes it is more discrete.,, Take a look at a Hori knife on Amazoon, they are narrow and will loosen that hard soil quickly, then follow up with the hand digger to remove the tailings . Your a champ! You did great👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Oh, I wouldn’t attempt this on my own. These two crazy guys talked me into it. Haha. During this hunt we ended up having a homeowner ask us to come look for a lost ring, but I’m sure it could go the other way too.

Haha, after digging in that soil I really feel for Juice. It’s a wonder he doesn’t have the worst arthritis on the planet from that bone jarring ground.🤣

OK, Gin...soil...high clay-content soil is some of the toughest to dig (when it's DRY)...hasn't rained for awhile, because the rain "percolates" clay particles, recedes deep into the ground, and then soil dries out (like concrete). It's not the best time to dig that stuff, UNLESS you use a cordless drill (extra battery packs) and attach a small metal garden auger to it (6-7 inches long) AND you're NOT doing a "historical" search (museums, etc. will NOT let you use that setup, at all), but it's fine for this dig on your video. 5-10 effortless seconds to your finds...just get a good grip, and don't injure your wrists...use short bursts. Finish with hand digger tool, if necessary...may Nick & Mar your finds, but that can happen with your present tools, too. And if you don't like REALLY hard "soil", probably best to avoid western Montana, the Rockies, and West Texas (TX before a good rain...and then wait a day to dig. Before a TX rain, might as well try burrowing through steel...AFTER a TX rain on that red clay, "Slip Sliding Away" (good song)...OR we lose Gin in that red-clay "tar pit". This was a fun vid to watch, and we ALL empathize... Good finds today, good job. Betcha miss our Florida & South Alabama "hard-as rock" beaches, am I right? Always, all the best. You EARNED it on THIS one !!!

You are not joking about that soil! It was seriously like concrete and left me really feeling for these poor fellas who have to hunt in it everyday. I was definitely appreciating the ease of beach hunting compared to this. Still though, I was lucky enough to find the cool token and enjoy the fun hunting companions.🙂💖🍀

@@LuckyGin Those finds made it all worthwhile...but your arms & back probably hurt like Dickens the next day. I'm right where I've wanted to be for ages...Florida DOES have areas that make digging difficult (middle of the state, lengthwise, North-to-South ... limestone/rocky & sinkholes, etc), but coastal areas are (pretty much) all sand. It's the weeds + roots + undergrowth + critters that make it difficult or dangerous here, at times. And hunting during hurricanes gets really interesting (just gotta wear lead boots) & pray { a LOT }... I think you mentioned you're going to some (more) of those difficult digging areas soon on this tour. Just be careful and remember, "Treasure hunting/metal hunting is FUN...'piece of cake'...". (Bring the BenGay)... 'Later. Can't wait to see the next vid !!!

was looking for a lost carb part off my John Deere mower and didnt find the part, but found two pennies, three screws and a twisty wire. Nope never found the part. It must ahve made its way into the sterring boxes somewhere or somehing. Oh teh pennies? just modern lincolns.

Borrow a small pick ax next time, along with a gardner knee pad to protect those beautiful knees. Let me know if you ever land near Spokane WA. I'll buy you dinner at best.
