For the jets I would say that their PP and PK have vastly improved after getting Monahan and Toffoli and the low percentage is from our team before them.

As a Jets fan. I have so much hope, and I am so scared I’m going to be let down

Great video. Just wanted to point out some points for depth scoring no video has yet memtioned. Jets have 13 forwards with 11 goals or more 6 forwards with 20+ goal scorers (almost 8 because Niederreiter needed 2 and Perfetti needed 1) 1 Dman with 10 goals

@YoungGunsPodcast Your welcome! Just thought I would mention it because no other team has that many. Basically every single forward the Jets have and an extra body have double digit goals. So literally all 4 lines can score.

I also think the Jets will end up winning this series with solid goaltending, 5 on 5 team play and shutdown style hockey

Every spring, we're told that goaltending and defense wins Cups. The Jets were the ONLY team in the NHL to allow fewer than 200 goals against, winning the Jennings Trophy. Helly will win his second Vezina and is arguable the best goalie on Earth today. I don't see how the Avs can overcome those two factors with only Mackinnon, Makar and Rantanen. Jets in 5, maybe a sweep.

if you just look at special teams in the 3 regular season games the jets crushed them. i think the jets have their number.

Avs fan here. I really REALLY hope you're wrong; but I can't say I disagree with anything you've stated. We went on a huge run following the deadline, and it looked like every move was a genius. But we have fallen off a cliff, and look completely out of sorts. And ugh, Goaltending.... If we can snap back into shape, Jets are toast in 5. But I see no reason ATM to believe we will, as there's no clear explanation as to why everything has been so disconnected. Thanks for the great breakdown.

lack of effort. its actually really simple why colorado is not playing good its lack of effort they have no motivation there is nothing for them to play for atm. same as in 2022 when they played the exact same way before winning the cup just wait for the playoffs to start and they will turn it on as usual

I say the Avs in 5 with Georgiev with .890 save percentage. Plus he has the main stat that matters in the playoffs, most wins

Jets in 4… goaltending and lack of depth for the Avs will cost them.

Its always the goal-tending . Jets are going to annihilate Colorado .

Wasn't just goaltending. Winnipeg had defensive buy in up and down the lineup, and have strong 4 line depth. This will be a depth vs star power series. Look at how many players hit double digits in goals

Yes experience matters but most of their forward core and d aren’t the same from when they won the cup and they added a lot of new faces who haven’t all gelled yet. We’ll see how they do during this 1st round. We could be wrong.
