Hey Bry you can line it up better. Loosen the front screw until its almost out then loosen the rear bolt . Tighten up the rear one with it fully centered install the gas cap tightly and then tighten up the front one again .open the gas cap a d check the gaps . Should be perfectly aligned

Thank you for mentioning about the rubber rings on the gas cap. That was a complete mystery for me. All three were initially on and I was like this can’t be right. I didn’t mention it on my install video so thanks.

Between the ultra classic limited and road glide limited which do you prefer . I ride a ultra classic limited but road glide look is growing on me .

I loved my ultra but this bike fits me so much better so I can see the GPS when I ride.can’t wait to get it back to try out the touring windshield on the highway

Good luck. You also had to push down that rear bracket to secure it - it won't take long for the well nuts (holding that rear bracket) to loosen. After they loosen, it won't be long for the plastic holding the well nuts to become totally useless. And the laminate around that cap will also peel. Watch and see. I take great care of my bike and it happened.

You have to remove it. So far that not been an issue but it maybe for some folks

I removed mine also. No issues.

Love the look, but I still use my factory headset. Definitely a cleaner look also.

Fair enough! We did the same thing on our Ultra but moved to the Whimm and HD wireless headsets. Not cheap but I do find there is less neck strain on long rides and easier to head check.

Looks much better… But why would they eliminate the headset? Or did you choose to get rid of it?

They do that for a more custom look. We have the Whimm on our bike so we no longer needed the port.

@@MrNick- we have been really happy with the upgrade to wireless. The cables are great but they do send to pull on your next at highway speeds and make head checking harder

And did the original console mark the paint and now you got bad paint showing

This was one of the two questions I was looking to see. Mine also and also going to try and buff out. It just leaves a straight line on left and right areas where the new console is more slim. But visible for a top view but not from the side view. Still worth it. No biggie.

Assuming you just left the headset plug empty down there in your “hot mess of wires”? Lol.

That was a totally useless video Bro. You didn't mention that the new console doesn't have a nipple for the overflow tube. What did you do with it ? How did you realign and run the other wiring ??
