Wes, thank you for the video! I have two quick questions. 1) What is "hate crime laws"? Laws that hate crimes? What does it mean? 2) A question about the collocation "to file (for) an appeal". When you were explaining it to us there was a sentence "to file an appeal". But at the end of the video there was "to file FOR an appeal". Are these both phrases correct - with and without the preposition "for"? Thank you!

I think the headline refers to laws against hate crimes. And for your other question, you can follow it with the preposition FOR but you could also leave it out. Thanks for commenting & checking out the lesson. 👍
