Even though I know all this stuff, Colin's Lab has always been one of my favorite video segments! Used to watch it on Make, but I am glad that you are continuing on adafruit. The only thing I would like is more frequent videos, but I can't complain.

Collin is one of the best and funniest electronics professor on you tube . I only wish he had more tutorial videos .
Collin's Lab is the best thing since Radio Shack.
Collin sir, you makes it so easy to understand.. thanks... Hope to see you more
As always Collin's lab is a brilliant video with super easy to understand instructions and examples with a perfect mix of Collin's personality! Keep it up more Collin's Lab!!!
I'm so happy that this series exists. Thank you Collin!
You are actually quite inspiring, dude. I've following you from a while now. And I really love to see and re watch your vids. Thanks, man. Regards from sunny Costa Rica
This guy is amazing. His videos on Make where wonderful. Just now realised he had vids here.
The video presentation is just perfect! I may have done most of the stuff you are showing .. but I could not have beaten you in presenting it this way! .. accept my upvote!
Really professionally produced and so useful. Now I'm scanning for more episodes...
Classy and cool video series. Thanks for your help!! Looking forward to more down the road. Happy Holidays.
just bought my first ever one of these. thanks so much for all your videos collin!
What a nice surprise to find a video from Collin that I haven't seen! Great one - you re-invigorate me to want to make stuff.
Would love to see a whole series just like this, about learning to use all sorts of functions, with Collin of course. This was a really great video! Great job guys! =)

+Adafruit Industries I got the pot to control the light but I could only get it to turn it off/on instead of fading in/out. My code is identical to his. Any ideas?

+Samuel West Have you connected your pot input to analog pin 0 (A)? In his code, where he reads the pot input, he reads it from analog input 0. But in the setup(), he still has it as pin 7 (digital), which ideally doesn't matter (if you are not using that), but I can see it may cause confusion. So go ahead and connect your pot to A0, if you haven't already. Also don't worry about setting A0 pin as input, that is optional.

another awesome vid by Collin, hope to see you at maker faire this weekend! :D
First time to watch Collin's Lab, Great video and a needed intro to the arduino..I needed a one! Great Job Collin..Great Job Adafruit :)
Can you also do a video for Raspberry Pi?
Colin your videos are awesome! I love that you explain everything so well, even a noob like me can understand! Thank you so much!
This really blows my mind! Thanks for the great tutorial!
Congrats Adafruit on the partnership with Massimo big stuff and Love the products. Collin thank you and love the lab sessions, always a dapper lad. Reminds me of some agent from the matrix but with good human intentions and better dressed. Would love to see more rocketry products but understand the complications, trust me.
Great job, Collin! I really appreciate your videos.
This guy is awesome! Great tag line at the end,
Thanks for the hard work and effort. You are clear and concise!
This is an amazing well thought-out and easy to understand video. You set a standard on explaining I wish everyone had. Thank you for this explanation.

Just kamal I just love his style of explaining.. Very interning Intriguing
comprehensive ,cool explanation.Thank you
I like your videos. I like the tone in the intro as well.
Great introduction to Arduino video! I'd love to see a video or videos going over simple electrical engineering concepts such as resistors and capacitors.
Finally the best video for understanding what arduino is. Thanks
Great video!! Keep them coming please!
Very clear presentation.
Love ya Collin.! Definitely on the list: "I'd like to have a beer with." Thanks
Really enjoy these videos
I agree, good overview.
I love Arduino, it's like Lego with electronics. Great for mechanical engineers like me!
Very nice. Makes me want to shop at adafruit... and today I did! :)
I'm so glad I found this.
I LOVE THIS GUY!! HE USED TO BE ON MAKE!!!!
Great introduction. At 3:11 you use a pull up resistor can'nt you give the input directly 5V or whatever voltage?
I would kill to have this dudes knowledge
i really like the color of that LED.
Why does he divided by 4 the input value fron the potentiometer when setting it as the analog output for the LED? Thanks for your answers
I love this guy and his videos what ever happened to him? NO more videos??
We need more !
Gret video for an intro to Arduino, but the links at the end to Collin's other video's (PCB milling and Solar) don't work

A video like this for the Raspberry Pi would be great too!
can anypne tell me if i can use tweezers in order to connect wires /jump wires etc
Cảm ơn nhiều! Thank you so much!
best explanation ever
one of the greatest invention ever invented
thank you this informations. it is really help to me.
Cool video
Sir, I want to know the difference between the aurdino uno & arduino REES52. which 1 is best for beginners & which 1 is advanced thing...
Can someone recommend some resource to learn how to do basic code like shown in the video please
I would suggest doing an evil genuis series and do some mild makeup and jacob's ladder, plasma ball. Starring Colin, your dead(or undead)pan humour would play perfect.
Good job sir
What's up with the color of it? it looks... different

Good Show
I want to make a 24hr timer that that controls a stepper motor to open a small door in the morning and close it at night. I don't want to have limit switches I want it to be like a little cnc. Open loop.
What programming language is that?
After trying this, you can replace the loop logic with a single line of code: digitalWrite(3, digitalRead(7));
Why is the uno green?
How do I use an Arduino to tap a 10Gbps fiber cable?
The Alton Brown of electronics, I love this guy.
Bro can we program another ic using arduino ? (I meam can we copy this tested commands to another ).
you should put the pin number (3) into a variable, or better yet, write a function where the pin number is a parameter
How to make our own ardiuno?
Okay here is what I want to do, I wish to detect then eliminate the effect of gravity waves on a mass. How do I do that using an arduino? [SAC]

Hello, i have a lipo battery 11.1V 3300mAh 30c. I wonder if it can be straight connected to Vin pin of arduino? I am afraid that it will burn my arduino pin by high current suddenly flow into Vin. Urgent, please reply. Thank you.
ive got three UNOs 1 SMD 2 through hole
What's the difference between an Arduino and the Raspberry Pi and its GPIO pins?
awesome
I don't want to run loop. What to do?
I found lots of schematics to solder an arduino online and I'm going to try them on a breadboard and see which ones I like, also does anyone know if you put two ATMega chips in the same circuit, will the storage space and speed be doubled?

Hello I also have an Arduino and are still getting pretty used to it but there are two things I need to know. How does ground connection work.I've always been used to 2 cord but now there is 3.Also my computer is pretty jacked up is there any way I can input code manually with some device I can make. Can anyone help.Thanks. Collins vids are awesome.

Best response: Anything.
So the language of the arduino is Javascript?
Can I do the same thing with a Raspberry Pi?
You forgot to mention that only PWM digital pins (marked with a ~) can output analog signals.
Pardon me for asking. But that arduino seems a little to green. Isn't the ones purchased from the arduino suppliers blue?
Sir ,in the potentiometer project y did u divide the variable by 4?
@Gama_Toad

I was asking myself the same thing. Didn't understand that part.
@RoboGenesHimanshuVerma

Because on Arduino the analogRead gives 10 bit output, but analogWrite takes only 8 bit input. Now 2^10 is 1024, but 2^8 is 256. So 1024/256 is 4. So he mapped the 10 bits to 8 bit by ignoring 2 bits on LSB side (divide by 4 is just right shift by 2 bits).
How do I tell if my arduino is a knockoff, because I have an UNO but it has a different board layout
7:16 the better question is, what can't you do with an Arduino?
2:18 I call this piece 'Man in Thought'
this video made me buy an Arduino.
Thank you... 1-)
i want to bild an 3d printer with it. can i use uno for it?

+shubham sagar nop, u need a arduino mega for the control of the motors
@LoganDark4357
6 жыл бұрын
That's only somewhat correct. If you need more than 17 pins, then yes, you need an Arduino Mega. But if you use something like an integrated circuit that can be controlled with only a few pins, you can use an Uno.

Another Arduino video, yawn, skip; Oh wait it's Collin!? Watching intently.
it might be a great video but the background nagging noise "music" makes it very hard at least for me to even get into this - who's the great producer who determined that some loud background repetitive annoying sound must accompany these videos to make them professional???!!!
