Collin Morikawa vs. Fore Play - One Club Challenge, 60° Wedge

Спорт

Major champion and PGA Tour superstar, Collin Morikawa takes on the Fore Play crew with only a 60° wedge on a long par 5. We quickly learn that Morikawa isn't just a bonified stud on the course, but one of the best personalities golf has to offer.

Funny when Riggs is alone he drives the ball 300 and shoots par, when he's in the group he drives the ball 240 and triple bogeys. If he's a 4 handicap, I'm Ben Hogan. Franky hitting 6 iron 200 is pretty impressive.

@@e92bimmerhead True. They "established" by golfing 54 holes at their home courses. The messed up part is you can golf 7 holes and it still counts as a 9 hole round and valid towards handicap. I'm not talking shit about them, I love the content but it's so cringey to hear them constantly talk about how low their handicaps are. It legitimately doesn't matter since they aren't golfing tournaments.

Riggs probably is a single digit. He doesn't lose a lot of balls and hit putting and chipping is pretty good(usually). He also plays from the whites. Frankie plays P790's i can hit the 7i in that set 190. They are strong lofted, hollow clubs. Great for distance and forgiveness, but not good for scoring. Really poor distance control.

You’re right. Everyone blades a chip every so often, but single-digit handicappers will recover on the next chip. 3 shanked chips in a row means you fundamentally don’t understand chipping. I just watched the chips, and it’s worse than I thought. All arms, very wristy. Riggs flips his hands through impact, was way too square to the target on his bunker shot, and then he hit a high flop on that last chip, when a low runner would have been the better play.

Frankie you forgot the sock pull birdie. Or are birdies so mundane now you're saving it for eagles?

Lotta haters in this comment section. Why not just enjoy the content that these guys are putting out. All golfers lie about how good they are, myself included

I think the boys from Barstool are showing their inexperience in this one. Anyone who has spent time around golf courses knows that this is a common hustle, it goes way back. You can play just fine with any wedge as long as you use the leading edge, any good hustler has practiced this (because every mark chooses the wedge for you). The reverse to this is to tell them to use a driver. Have you ever tried to land a ball on a green with a driver from 100 yards and not have it skid across the surface? Have you ever tried to make a 10-foot putt with the modern "bouncy" driver faces? Go out and try those some time :) Colin choosing the 60 was just a hustle. If the boys had any experience they would have said driver.
