Day 3 of the Charles Schwab Challenge I told my sister who knows almost nothing about golf that she had to pick a golfer to support for the tournament, Colin happened to be on TV and she has blindly supported him since. He ended second in that tournament, but I had no idea he would be this good at such a young age, so I freaked out seeing him win the 2020 PGA Championship and she just said: "obviously he won, he is clutch Colin".

First time I saw him was Steph Curry being a reporter for a day asking him a few questions in the PGA Championship.

You can see why he’s so successful so young. His focus is his real advantage.

I play golf have my whole childhood competitively in tournaments for five years and for my high school team and junior high team. I’m now a senior and I think the high school team setting is incredibly entertaining and could make for great drama if someone developed a league with teams for city’s much like the nba or nfl. Why not

For those who aren't into golf, the game is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated (Arnold Palmer Quote) Recommend giving it a shot (no pun intended)

Great interview. But here's the thing about golf that sets it apart from any other sport. And why there is a certain decorum / dress code around it. Golf is a game of honor, respect and personal responsibility. When my Dad was teaching me I wasn't allowed to hit a ball on a course for a long time. I'd go with him and friends and carry his bag. I needed to learn the right way to be on a golf course. I think that includes a level of dress as well. I'm not sure about "dumbing things down" or, like Collin said, pushing the boundaries to appeal to a generation where honor, respect and boundaries aren't necessarily as big a part of the conversation as they used to be. Not much different than youth sports not keeping score. You miss out on the real lessons.

This is unnecessary gate keeping and does nothing to improve the quality of the game.

The main problem with golf is how ridiculously expensive it is, not the dress code. You can buy a polo shirt for $20 somewhere, I’m sure, but drivers and putters cost like $300 each, and iron sets cost you like $900 and up. The green fees are a lot as well, and the best courses don’t even allow you to play at all if you can’t afford a membership. These are the hurdles golf needs to jump over.

I totally disagree with this one. The game was basically for the elite white guys. To make it exclusive, they sky rocketted the damn price of the game thus giving the notion that it is for the rich boys. The goal is just to put the ball in the hole, but the egos that comes with it makes it as if its for the few.
