I would honestly watch an Anthology film of Poe and Finn going around the galaxy hitting up cantinas and fucking around. Their chemistry is so amazing!

I just got back from The Force Awakens. The most memorable part of my evening was when that Star Wars logo first appeared, everyone cheered. Throughout the whole movie I had the biggest stupidest grin on my face. This film is infinitely better than the prequels.

Also even though I loved Creed I don't know why people don't complain about Creed being almost exactly the same as Rocky but if The Force Awakens does it then people bash on it

Rocky movies all have the same basic formula. So no one was really expecting Creed to be different. It had different characters with different motivations. While it follows the same formula and has scenes that are an homage to the originals, Force Awakens has characters that feel the same and plot points that there just to be mimicked. Star Wars has a formula, but it also has new things happening in every movie. Force Awakens really did nothing new and that's disappointing for a lot of people

Im one of those, Ive seen it and am actually quite disappointing. I like the new characters, the action and the comedy, but it felt pointless. We had the exposition (the prequels which i liked), the heros journey (the originals), and now i would like something new. There where other things but i leave those for when a spoiler review come out.

+nph53 I disagree, I thought it was the reverse. The only big similarities with Creed and Rocky I found are how the movie ends and the obvious training montages, but TFA had a very similar opening and climax to ANH along with a lot of character similarities.

The one anthology movie I'd love to see is an Obi-wan film. I know Campea and many others are adamant about bottlenecking the universe. But in all honestly he deserves. In the totality of Star Wars, Kenobi was the one that helped jumpstart Luke's journey. He was the catalyst that introduced him to the Force. And while Yoda no doubt was the one who trained him overall, Obi-wan's influence is felt even during episode's five and six, even after death. Also, I really liked Ewan McgreGregor's portrayal. Eschewing the terrible dialogue, which was Lucas' doing, unfortunately. Business wise I can see the film being a fresh take on the franchise in two facets. One, is the idea of genre. The Kenobi movie should follow John Jackson Miller's novel, which was a western. The second is the sense of scope. Most casual moviegoers of the franchise are used to the grandiose and massive stakes associated with Star Wars. And that's fine. However, this movie can explore a smaller more personal tale. This is something many EU fans are familiar with already with the books on certain characters. But to see this in film form could also be quite refreshing. Finally, the film is plausible due to budget. I know most people aren't concerned about this, but the reality is that Hollywood is a firm. Thus, they seek to make profit and try to minimize costs. Abstracting from costs, associated from acting, given the nature of the film(if it takes place on Tatooine), the movie could be relatively inexpensive. Sure, costs associated with CGI, production effects and days shooting would be important. But they'd pale to let's say shooting a huge battle with multiple setpieces and backgrounds. So overall, financially, Disney could produce a very good film for a fraction of a cost. And in the world of economics, if one can maximize revenue, while minimizing costs. They are a proverbial king.

I agree, I would definitely love an Obi Wan Kenobi flick! Ewan McGregor played the role great--yes, GL's bad dialogue aside--and seeing the character adapt to life post RoTS would be interesting. I'm a writer and actually writing a script for that movie, which is just me as a fan writing what I would want to see, but I would love the movie none the less.

henry14 Exactly. An Obi-wan film makes sense. How I perceive a Star Wars film is viable is two methods. One, will the film be a fresh or unique take on the property for audiences? And two, does the film in the context of the whole franchise, makes sense. Obi-wan fills both those requirements. Seeing a film on him on Tatooine would be very different, as I highlighted. And second, given how big Obi-wan is to the franchise, the film would fit the Star Wars university in a greater totality.

I actually liked TFA much more for the second time. I was so worried and watching for every tiny potential flaw that it hurt my overall enjoyment of the movie. For the second, I knew I liked it a lot, so I just sat and watched it and I loved it that much more. Guys, don't go to the movie with "it must be the best thing ever made", just enjoy the ride.

+Jon Chapman, I'm 46 now. I took my two daughters, who are now in college, to the premiers of episodes 1-3 back in the day and they love Star Wars and I now have a six year old son that I took to see SWTFA at the 7pm showing on the 17th. This movie blew episodes 1-3 out of the water (my opinion). My son, who is mildly autistic, sat calmly through the movie and loved it. He didn't 'discover' Star Wars until August in first grade when his friends told him how cool it was. I showed him the first six movies and now he lives, eats, breathes, sleeps, dreams Star Wars. 10/10 trudat.

Don't get me wrong I love John Williams and what he has done for the Star Wars alone is remarkable, but I simply was dissapointed by this one. Maybe it's his age, I don't know.

While I would no way go far as to say that, it wad imo definetly weak. I honestly think it's some of his weakest work and while still good, it no way near comes close to any of his other works prequels and originals. Quite strange, I have a feeling that the very first tunes, themes etc he thought of jj said they were great without question because he is Williams and then he didn't work further to develop something more memorable. That was my biggest complaint of the film because I still loved it despite that.

All I will say to the people who are interested in knowing, you will be easily transported along time ago to a galaxy far far away. Star Wars episode seven is A spectacle to behold, and redemption for not only the series it's self, but redemption in the hearts of many nostalgic fans of the originals. Hey guys, just starting the ep so you may talk about this, but I am currently listening to the audio book for the novelization of the movie, and it does seem to be answering alot of the little questions re what some characters are thinking etc. and takes its time much more. Just thought I would throw in a recommendation for the book!

I just got back from seeing the Force Awakens. I was jazzed and it left me salivating for more. The crawl was fantastic, the actors were amazing, special effects, story were great (though there were a few repetitive beats, but nothing that made me love the movie less). I loved it. Can't wait to see it again.

I left the theater wanting more, and that's a testament to its success as an opening film in a franchise. It does exactly what it needs to do in all the ways that The Phantom Menace didn't, gives you that little bit extra, and then leaves you stuck for a year and a half waiting for Episode 8 with a thousand questions burning through your mind. Probably my second favorite film in the series. Not as good as Empire, but on par with or slightly better than A New Hope. Every single complaint I have are basically just nerdy nitpicks.

At around 1:10 in the main trailer, it shows Maz Kanata handing the lightsaber to Leia, but the two never met in the movie. She only handed it to Finn and that shot in the trailer in NOT him.

Just saw the Force awakens and it was everything I hoped! It took me back to the when I was a kid seeing the originals long long ago. I can not believe people are trying to spoil the movie for others, we didn't even discuss it leaving the theater so not to spoil anyone waiting in line. Star Wars is back and I can't wait to see it again.

After you guys see the film, I recommend picking up the book "The Art of Star Wars The Force Awakens". It goes through the early concept art of the characters/ships/planets and pretty much everything else from the early stages of pre-production all the way to post production. Beautiful artwork and interesting to see how these characters were created. Make sure you see the film first though because it is spoiler heavy!

NO Spoilers seriously! I waited a long time to join the collider Jedi Council because I wanted to see the new movie first before i expanded my knowledge for this new lore. As someone who read alot of the EU(legends) like old republic, dark times(favorite), Empire, Rebellion, Legacy, etc. I've now come to understand Kristian's view on the EU as a whole. I really liked episode 7 and now I wanna know everything. Thank you Kristian for sharing your love for StarWars, and now my question is..... what should I read first?

And for someone who wasn't born with the originals but watched them along with the prequels, this film is my favourite of all of them! And the midichlorians could be explained the same way Lucas tried to explained the force, with science! Midichlorians could have been early scientists testing electricity, find mites appearing to come out of the energy and they assume the mites are the created by the electricity like the early Jedi assumed bacteria was one with the force :)

Minor spoiler talk: (not actually spoiling anything but don't read if you haven't seen it yet) My favorite scene was the one-shot of Finn with a saber in one hand and a blaster in the other, taking out storm troopers while you could also see Poe above him in his X-wing take out like 8 TIE fighters in a row... That shit got me so hype

This movie met ALL my expectations. Packed with interesting three dimensional characters, some old and many new, The Force Awakens truly earned its place among the likes of the OT. I will say that after a certain "pivotal event" I was numb for the rest of the film during my 1st viewing. However, the second time I watched it, I enjoyed it a lot more. This movie had the balls to stand up and move the story of Star Wars forward in bold and unexpected ways that really work. Action-packed, breathtaking, and emotionally intense - 9/10. Star Wars is back everyone! Here is where it ranks among the other Star Wars movies in my opinion: The Empire Strikes Back The Force Awakens A New Hope Return of the Jedi Revenge of the Sith Attack of the Clones The Phantom Menace

Well, the original trilogy films are not "perfect" either. What matters with these movies is how they make you feel. And I felt aaaall of the feels while watching The Force Awakens and 24 hours later, I'm still feeling them. I was SO invested that by the end of the movie I had to take a second to go back to reality and walk out of the theater, haha. Can't wait to watch it again.

Saw the movie tonight and it was everything I hoped it would be. Had some of it spoiled for me but overall it didn't ruin anything for me, even that moment in the film. I keep thinking about the last scene in the movie and how powerful it was and how it perfectly sets up for the next one. JJ Abrams did an A+ job.

Ill also be advertising your channel on my star wars game slot on my channel going forward. I Honestly loved the movie, watched it 2 times already (im in Australia) and most likely gonna go watch it again on Monday and on Christmas Eve.. it was awesome, great mix of new and old. Loved Rey, Finn and Poe not sure who is my favorite, probably Rey she is so strong and beautiful and full of character. Kylo Ren and Hux i liked alot too, looking forward so much to see how Kylo Ren's story will progress in the trilogy, Hux has in my opinion one of the best scenes of the movie at least for me, Phasma she was cool too.. What can i say about Han, Leia, Luke and Chewie and the droids i had tears for all of them when i saw them, so emotional, actually first time watching it, i had lots of moments with tears in my eyes. Anyway i cant wait to watch it again and to see what comes next, Im hoping in a book about what happened between Jedi and TFA.. My opinion this is the 3rd best Star Wars movie, maybe maybe the 2nd after Empire, gotta watch it again though.... The best thing though both times I watched the movie, the theater was packed with little kids, hearing them laugh at the jokes in the movie and at Chewie made me really happy... Such a great time to be a Star Wars Fan
