    that re-rail looked so easy , but the folks that drive and flag the operator's are talented and must stay in eye contact. 3 rigs at each end in sync Good job $$$

    When they start to lower it onto the trucks, if you look real close you can see the wires for the decoder, sound system, and lighting system, AMAZING!

    not new, at all. They're called big johns and you can buy them from several crane manufactures now. They have their pros and cons to using them.

    These are referred to as 'track cranes'. You can modify an excavator but it's not the same as a 'purpose-built' machine. CAT offers large track crawler cranes.

    Engine weight is 428,000lbs SD70ACe www.nsdash9.com/rosters/1000.html locomotive.fandom.com/wiki/EMD_SD70ACe Not shown in the video is the engine on the end of the flat cars, off screen to the right, that is pushing the recovered engine over to the other engine that was recovered earlier in the day. I'm assuming they are using the flat-cars as brake tenders for the engines since there is no working brakes on the recovered engines. The workers were stringing air lines across the two engines bridging to the flat cars.

    Is this the derailment that took place on Apison Pike on December 20, 2022? I did some research and it seems that Collegedale is the site of a surprising number of derailments.

    Some of these guys have a deth wish standing so close to that load suspended. One chain break and it could be bad.

    lmfao, back into service? Did you see how wrecked this engine is? Most likely it'll go sit in the HBO pool at some place like Juniata shops until it can be fixed, or some manager decides to just steal parts off it and scrap it

    @@jenna9390 Really. And apparently they've found some secret way to magically reconnect brake lines and repair drive gearing on the spot. Wow. I'm Canadian, and I've never seen any of those magic locos up here.

    It was being pushed by an engine off to the right of the flat cars.

    Pushed. She's dead, her brake lines parted when they lifted her off her trucks, so no brakes. In addition, they don't know what damage was caused to the motors when she tried to fly.

    The site is gradually being cleaned up and restored. There is very little train "stuff" left and it is mostly ground cleanup and restoration that is left to do.
