It actually was! Our library had a lot of comfy couches in quiet spots, so if you timed it right you could stretch out and sleep in the quietest parts of the library with absolutely no interruptions. Even the librarians were chill about it. It was great 😂

I remember once during finals week being so exhausted in the library that I took a 20 minute nap on the same couch my friends were studying on. When I woke up and realized one of them had taken off his jacket to cover me up with I almost cried. College is so difficult but good friends can really make or break you.

To me, this is just my adhd in a nutshell

NGL, the library quiet floors is my hangout spot. I just go to a private study desk (preferably near an outlet) and just browse KZread or whatever. Great way to pass the time when there's like at least an hour between lectures.

HAHAHAH I TOTALLY USED TO TAKE NAPS IN THE LIBRARY. It was the perfect way to do it before exams/evening classes because the classrooms were always less than 10 minutes (walking) away. I lived off campus for 4 of my 5 years, so it was a good place to catch some zzzs without going all the way home. It literally had all the amenities required: Quiet (usually) ✔️ Couches ✔️ Privacy ✔️ Darkness (in the basement/corners) ✔️ Coffee (after you get up) ✔️ Wifi (in case you need music/white noise)✔️ Literally what else do you need?

Ohh... it's such a pity our department library stays open only until 4PM, or else it would be the absolute best ! This, all you're saying, and even more !!

my junior year (covid hit senior year) during finals me and a group of about 4 friends literally took bags with blankets and pillows and our toothbrushes and hairbrushes to the library with us and stayed in a little back hall of a mezzanine for like the entire week. as long as someone was still there while others were testing, we didn't have to take our things with us. It was a nice little support system to make sure no one overslept a test or took a longer nap than they meant to.

Bro fell asleep faster then my dog does.

Me soaking up all this knowledge about college, with absolutely no desire or plans to go to college: "write that down, write that down!"

Senior year: I didn't even bother fully unpacking. If I needed it, I'd pull it out of the box. But if it wasn't something I used regularly, it just stayed in the box, ready to be taped up and moved out in the spring

I know someone who ended up sleeping through an exam because of a nap in the library. Thankfully she was able to retake it

Honestly when I was in uni I was basically sleeping anywhere I could find in-between classes. I only thought about sleeping in the library when I was a junior after I found the perfect cozy spot where the sunlight hit just right. Unfortunately a lot of other students had the similar idea and so half the time the sleeping spot in the library was taken. The next semester the pandemic hit, but it was nice while it lasted.

After the army I can now sleep anywhere anytime, including with my eyes open or standing up, and can wake up instantly on simple commands. It works for college as well where I can sleep for a short amount of time before another class.

Ngl, in my first yea if college, I could nap standing up, with my eyes half closed. It's a skill I'm glad I learned, especially cuz I was not fully prepared for the exhaustion that doing Equine brought lol

The fact that my dorm during my sophomore year was EXACTLY how this video portrays a senior dorm is so funny. The less you decorate the less you have to cram in your car on move-out day.

I've been the senior for my entire degree. My first semester was class from 1 pm to 6 pm and a lab til 10 pm once a week. I used to eat dinner in the library while watching jeopardy on my laptop and using my coat as a blanket. Cannot imagine judging people in the library, we're all tired as hell and just trying to survive the day 🥲 just don't talk in the silent areas, I'll judge for that.

My first year of college was at a community College. I had about four hours downtime between classes on three out of six days and that first week was the first time I saw not two or three or four but actually FIVE different students sleeping on different couches on the common floor.
