Ya as prior military, it was ingrained into us to never have boots or shoes on the bed or else we'd have to...you know what? I'll just leave at that.

Lofting the bed/bunk beds are great for storage but man getting sheets on a bed that high is a pain in the butt

would definitely recommend if you don't want to look at your clothes all the time to buy a shower curtain and hang it over! they sell some super cute ones at target, and you can get a shower rod that's adjustable and won't screw into the wall.
