Edit: yes I realize that it can obviously be both, the point was, they just sat there and talked over it and didn't give the time to listen and get another meaning than just depression. His music isn't "depressing", its made so people who have been depressed can see that someone else can relate to them. If anything X uplifted a whole generation of people, by showing them all the different aspects of a depression. He spoke what people were scared to talk about. We’re never gonna be happy all the time. So when X felt depressed, he was gonna make a song about depression. It took me a long time to appreciate his music and I’m glad it do. As a person with extreme depression to the point i wanna die at times... music like this makes me feel less alone I would rather listen to sad music while depressed rather then happy music. in a dark head space happy music makes me feel horrible like why can't I be happy too. I truly think people who don't struggle with depression and anxiety dont fully understand that feeling that pain is hard especially when your alone. I have so much respect for x he was trying to grow and make up for his wrong doings🖤 I hope he is resting happily in the stars🖤🌠🌌

Dude I discovered X after a very traumatic breakup I was sooo suicidal angry and depressed I was a mixed bag of negative emotions songs like changes, Sad, Jocelyn Flores mainly his ? Album helped me suppress those emotions calm down and realise I'm not the only person going through a bad patch in my life after that I talked to my gammy and she helped me be more open after a while I spoke to that same ex I found closure and I've been great since I listen to X music and it helped me heal

I don’t think they realize how many lives he’s saved, including mine.
