that's exactly why i wanted to :) this cycle sucked and maybe I set my expectations too high but not all of us are ivy-bound and that's ok!!

We have almost the same college list! What a couincidence! I heard back from UVM recently and got accepted which is very exciting. It looks like so much fun and a great school.

I'm currently in the college process, this was so reassuring to watch someone actually take some Ls. Soooo unbelievably reassuring during the college process and I thank you so much for being authentic and real!!!!

it's a difficult time to be sure, but I don't regret any of my results at all. i found where I was meant to be and I'm sure you will too!! :)

For people starting the application process, my tip for the common app essay: write in your voice, that is the authentic way you express yourself, no matter what the topic is about. Let the college understand you, they will appreciate a genuine essay

I watched you because you're a breath of fresh air to me (in that I wanted to see a range of students) and also because I wrote stories with characters spanning a pretty broad range of students... stress affect not only people in the top 10%.

I am currently waiting on hearing back from Colby ED1. I am applying to almost the exact same colleges as you did. Do you mind if you share your stats (in highshool)? PS. I hope everything is going well in college, I’ve heard great things about UVM.

good luck with colby!! and you betcha, minding that ECs and essays go a very long way. but i got a 32 ACT and 1460 SAT (submitted both), like a 3.7UWGPA with like 2 C+s in there so i think that def hurt me a bit. my top ECs were volunteering for a climate advocacy nonprofit, captain of my hs quiz bowl team, and a program i did between jr/sr year where i did a research project on a WWII vet from my state through National History Day. hope that gives you a better idea 😁

is the business major hard to get in ? Because im currently applying to schools on the common app (Penn state, MSU, Indiana university Bloomington, Loyola University Chicago, university of Pittsburgh, Rutgers, etc...) Im a student with a French baccalaureate that is why im applying so late... do you even think I will have a chance to get in one of these schools ?

i think difficulty on getting into business school depends on which university you're applying to. for example, IU kelley is pretty competitive out-of-state. also, while many of those schools are rolling, the priority deadline has passed a while ago. it may be beneficial for you to wait until this fall for the next application cycle. then you should see some luck :)
