COLLECTOR'S DREAM! WWII items found in this locker bought for $1,661 at an abandoned storage auction

Locker Nuts episode 413
I'm back for more digging in this outstanding locker, apparently owned by a hoarder of collectibles. So many great items, and in this episode the finds kick start right off when I come across some amazing World War Two clothing that simply blows my mind.
This is part 5 of the "Where's the Gun Safe?" locker.

The other day you asked the question: "what does everyone do with their junk mail?" My junk mail goes directly to the trash bin. My bills are all online, so I don't have any paper trails. I have 2 file drawers for medical and other important papers. But after 5 years they are put through the shredder and off they go.

Enjoy you channel, especially for your natural commentary, genuine delight, simple jokes, and yes, the singing. Always good to sing😊 Moffatt Field was a military installation near San Francisco, important for Naval aviation. Don’t know if it has been decommissioned, was still active in 1960s.

Gotta love finding WWII Army Air Corps high altitude pants! I bet those wool shirts are all US Army, WWII or Korean War vintage. The wool undies will have an audience. (not me, I'm allergic!) Silver buckle for certain. Probably came with extras on a Mexican leather belt. 23:35 1960s dress. I'd say Jack hit a lick with this one.

Amazing pilot pants! I saw what looked like a Santa blow mold...although it is short, it is worth a bit. Nice Pendletons and Mickey Jacket...interesting vintage pieces - certainly not like finding Versace but may spark some interest :) Lovin' all the B Babies, too! Hard to tell, but I actually think that couch and chair are pretty :) Thanks for sharing the treasure hunt!

Haha that fur coat 24:55 reminds me when I was in Uni.. every day we would walk past this charity shop and there was a coat in the window.. just like the one you showed.. but lets say a little worse.. anyway.. one day I bought it for £4 and wore it to a party that night at our place.. from then on the coat was worn by whoever had to go to the local off license.. (here its shops you buy booze) and you had to walk to and from on a really busy road.. lol Good times.. there was 5 of us renting a house at the time near the Uni.

Clothing moths are almost impossible to get rid of. The larvae can wait in larval form for 3+ years for the correct temp/conditions to hatch. One female can lay 500+ eggs. Do not bring those into your house.

To be safe, check the air force history before calling the pants WW2 pants. The U.S. Air Force wasn't an official branch of the military until 1947 and was part of the army and was referred to as the U.S. Army Air Forces. The pant logo does look correct for the pre 1947 Army Air Force though. The Japanese airman's hat looks real. Search KZread for clips from the movie Tora, Tora, Tora to see the Japanese pilots wearing them. Here's a link to view some of the air force history: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Army_Air_Forces

If an item is marked US Air Force then it is not always WW2....it might be marked Army Air Corps during the second WW....well maybe since it was not really changed to Air Force until 1947....but some items may be marked earlier. Propane lantern is awesome.

I'd imagine Beanie Babies are just the same.. should lot them up if those in them are not worth much... or put the expensive ones you find and put them in them and sell on ebay with hard stacked in the title. People think they have been looked after then.. smoke free and all that jazz.
