The majority of their work was released after 1999, so I believe it would be prudent to say they are one of the BEST ALTERNATIVE BANDS, period.

The sound engineering here is off the charts, just incredible.

Totally unknown in europe. Its a shame. Google Music suggested this music to me. Thank you Google, thank you Collective Soul for these wonderful songs.

I was here, near the front row. Incredible concert. Touched Ed's hand a bit. It is a magical moment of my life I still cherish until today.

Ed Roland, the best song composer in modern music history that no one has ever heard of. That is one reason I think their popularity, while massive, was merely momentary. Their sounds and songs are so layered and complex that cover bands have to be gold record-type good in order to play their music out. This hampers ubiquity over time.

Amazing Band. Heavy Sound. Yet, Positive Music. No curse, only Love, Peace, Hope and Great Music. No other Ingredients but Pure Talent!

Joel was such a great part of this band. This was either his final or one of his last shows with Collective Soul. I truly miss his sound and stage presence. He was/is the consummate pro. Thank you Joel for your contributions to CS

Agreed! I saw them live both during the Ross Childress and Joel Kosche eras. Can't help but feel they lost something after firing Joel, and I haven't been inclined to listen to their newer stuff.

This band is has been and always will be current,hard rocking,and timeless. This is Collective Soul at its finest. My favorite band of this era. Always sound fresh. Keep pushing bringing great music for all!!!!

One of the strongest and best performances by Ed Roland! He sang and played his whole heart and soul! Jakarta is a blessedly polite culture and they enjoyed the performance and were very lucky to see Ed live!

Me and my wife spent almost 12 hours on that place. This was the last act on day 1 and the biggest reason why we bought the tickets anyway. What a magical night! Day two was also great. After two days of head-banging & constant screaming, we lost our voice and couldn't move our neck for a week!! Come on, bring back this festival!

I was there on the front row, touched Ed Roland's hand. What a great performance, show, crowd, sound n lightning... There's so many international band that day on Javarockinland event. I just came up for this band!

Just watched this entire amazing concert on my 70” HD tv with 200 watt surround sound! Wow! Amazing video and audio!

Literally the most excited crowd I have ever seen in Jarkarta. Different culture for sure. Everyone polite and respectful of other's space. Looked like the band was wondering at first with no huge reaction like American crowds, then when they all knew the words to sing along, they got it. Well done. Such a fantastic band.

Seem them 4x over yrs.incredible,talented muscians.i recommend buying their video Home.its them live with Atlanta childrens orchestra..amazing.the lyrics are very deep.my kids had to endure me playing them over and over.now as adults my daughter seen them live,was impressed.my son absolutely loves them now.

That's what's called TIGHT musicians for a live act. Beautiful sounds.

Collective Soul played in a outdoor concert here recently and STOLE the whole show. They were freakin' AMAZING. i've loved them since 1992 ♥

Ed s voice is so good he dont miss a note.. ive always loved his tone and ranges fucking awesome send s a shiver down my spine and the band is tight as ever these guys are very pro and cant wait to see them with the Goo Goo Dolls in Toronto Canada at The Molsen center Aug 9th 2016..And just a quick note the people of Jakarta are the most beautiful peaceful people in the world with warm hearts and positive thoughts as i have met quite a few people from Jakarta in Australia when i lived there..you can see the audience is happy big beautiful smiles everywhere :)

Yes I noticed the crowd are clearly enjoying the show. Some of the women wearing the headscarves. Indonesia I believe, is the most populous Muslim nation in the world. Strange yet cool to see the crowd rocking out. A different perspective for sure. Thanks 4 the info. :)

What a concert, the performance is magnificent, so professional and dedicated to the audience, one of my favorite bands

We saw CS a bunch of years ago at a pretty small club. I thought I knew a few of their songs, it was one of those deals where I went because my wife wanted to go. Well turns out it was one of the best shows I've ever seen and I knew damn near every song on the set list. I'm a fan.

I gotta say, Collective Soul continuing to perform is reminiscent of the great classic rockers, and in fact they have the sound from the 70's classic rock that is endearing to me, a child of of the 60's and 70's, which music will never or rarely be replicated. Kudos to CS. Seen them several times myself. Great concert here.

Happy there are so many of us,. Fans of CS. Saw them twice. Opened for Aerosmith in 95. Then again at Edgefest in Ottawa. Respect!

John Marsh I never understood why Joel was released by Ed. His playing was as close to the original CS guitarist as you could be. I was saddened to see him go

Simply the greatest band ever, I wanna see them live, but I don't think they'll come to Copenhagen. The Home live concert is also damn good.

I Never thought in my lifetime I would see a band take the torch of "Retro-Active" music style left behind by its founder INXS following the loss of Michael Hutchence. The genre of Retro-Active which is sort of a cross between rock and new wave music styles is alive and well in Collective Soul. Atlanta Georgia should be very proud of these guys (who possess the talent and quality in their LP’s with the likes of bands like REM, also from Georgia).

Saya penggemar Collective Soul sejak SMA di tahun 90 an...ini salah satu band band dengan riff yg kaya dan kreatif di zamannya...banyak hit rock progresif yang selalu berbeda tiap released albumnya..paling enak di dengarkan dengan Dolby Sound Effect karena album2 sudah adopsi teknologi ini..kalian akan bisa mendengar😂 1 guitar melodies, 2 guitar riff, kadang gitar accoustic, kadang 2 double bass, organ dan perkusi ...suara Ed sangat khas..sampai hari ini mereka masih merilis album..good job❤

Watching in 2024 😁 Love Collective Soul! Their Woodstock performance was phenomenal. It's one of the only two performances I cared about. The other one was Creed's. I wonder if they have plans of touring Southeast Asia again?

Fantastic band making quality music.

Ross and Shane were so awesome, but after they left, this was the best lineup since. Joel played it as close to Ross’s creations as possible with great melodies of his own.
