Excellent bit of recycling by using the food waste bin as your bucket 🤣

Another great video Ceirion try on uncovered sand and watch for a jet of water then put dry salt in the hole. Last year I got about 30 in half hour on Colwyn beach without using salt just by seeing them sticking out of the sand

Changed for the worse. I no longer fish but I used to mooch there too. It started in mid 1960s with an invasion of bait diggers carrying bucketloads of the larger ragworms away; turning over stones for peeler crab and not putting the stones back. Result no hiding places for crab or ragworms and putrefying weed under the stones. It has sadly never really recovered. Before that you could often find ragworm under the flatter stones just by shallow digging. Such a shame.

Never tried digging or salting for them but my late friend used to dig for them & using them live whole on 5/0 hooks quite successfully for bass on a flooding tide in the straits near Beaumaris. He gave me the remainder (still in their shells) to try. I removed them from the shells but was not successful. Took the rest home, salted half for bait and cooked the rest-delicious! However no luck catching anything on salted ones either. My friend had his best catches on a short cast into shallow water (30-60cm. deep) or in English money 12" - 24 inches . To be fair the water was already diluting your salt solution so I would try in drier patches or make your solution much more concentrated Ceirion. Do try again . Foraging is such a fun pastime. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y5WfuaWgfJepfrg.html
