@David Foley I want to hear your thoughts on this because it actually puzzles me. Let's say you're 100% correct that he knew. Why is he the war criminal and not Bush and Cheney? I've never seen it disputed that he thought invading Iraq was the wrong decision. I've never seen it disputed that the admin did not listen to him on the matter. His glowing error has always been his speech which in itself was a strategic move he was selected for. My earnest question is what happens if he resigns and doesn't give the speech? I say we still invade Iraq. Everything is basically the same...just without their fall guy being the face of it.

The quintessential leader. I had the privilege of meeting him once as a young Airman; and he was certainly a soldiers soldier. Treated everyone with respect regardless of rank or position. Col. Powell spearheaded the building of The Buffalo Soldier's Tribute. A magnificent tribute to the black men that accomplished a impossible job. He made sure it was built . It's at Fort Leavenworth , Kansas. He rose in the military when, if you were of color it took a tough person .

This is such sad news knowing he passed away. I was shocked when my father told me the news, shocked and saddened.

He was a good, respectable man. What I love most about him, in addition to his accomplishments, is that he was one of the voices outspoken against a man like Donald Trump when it counted the most. He was a good, honorable man.
