Look at trees in intro Trees graphics like monsters in doom

14 years ago. It seems as such a simple game now. But it had tracks with varying weather and cars could be damaged - it was enough. The splitscreen multiplayer was the best thing ever. Times changed, games changed... ...memories never will.

I listen to the full soundtrack most days when I am driving, only problem is that unless I look at my speedometer every 5 seconds I can very easily be in a 50mph speed limit and quickly find myself doing 70mph, it's not intentional I'm pretty sure its just that when the soundtrack comes on I subconsciously start accelerating, kind of makes me lucky that I'm surrounded by quiet roads where police cars are rare really.

Probably your first game that is about rally and the song is giving you funky feelings that motivates you to begin your journey into the world of mud, danger and competition.

Generally, some of the best and most fun car physics I have ever played. They absolutely nailed this game

Matt Pepperdine Well, now Codies are making Dirt: Rally, which seems to be much less arcade-ish than dirt 1-2-3. In fact, D.Rally seems to be closer to a simulator than a CMR 2 So maybe we will see a good modern rally game.

The intro, the music and the interface of the game were very of its time. Always felt it really captured early 00s UK.

My favourite game of all time...

After 24 years and still an absolute banger! Really glad growing up to this.

I used to play this game as a kid. This song brings back a lot of memories. I remembered this song by this agressive effect that leads the melody of the track. I started to call it "rally effect" because it always reminded me on this game. Nowadays I use the same term for this kind of music :D It's kinda funny because I call it "rally effect" and other people don't know what do I mean by that. Anyways... Awesome game and track 👍🏼👌🏼

One night me and my friend went to a road near our city were every year a rally takes place. We wanted to do like in a real rally, my friend behind the wheel and me to dictate the notes. Before the start my friend turned on the stereo and played this song, then he went for it. It was REALLY fun.

Best gameplay i ever felt in any of CMR games so smooth
