These teams are trying to win a Super Bowl year in and year out and having a three ring circus of media attention and distractions is something that many teams (especially the winning teams) do not want. This is the most (and only?) informative video of Kaep that I've seen. I'm not sure why he's stayed so quiet since this 2016 interview. For example, there's the NY Times article from 2018, "The Deafening Silence of Colin Kaepernick". He had the platform (and still does), and I wish he would speak his mind and give others the chance to listen.

None of this was practiced or scripted. All from the heart and people tried to spin it EVERY WAY they could.

I remember when this first happened quite sometime ago and I was much younger and surrounded by people who villianized him and only focused on him disrespecting America. I didn’t think my perspective on him would change but it did. I didn’t even know what he was kneeling for and now I do. Everything he said in this video was complete facts and very well thought out responses.

History always vindicates the righteous in the end. 4 years ago, Kap sat down in PEACEFUL protest and upon hearing a former veteran voice his concern that his method was disrespectful, he later knelt instead to be “more respectful” AND STILL his critics burned his jerseys, walked out of his games and demanded his removal. All because of a PEACEFUL PROTEST. The same people who constantly badger on about their first and second amendment rights, made sure to stifle his. AJ lamar Police brutality is still extremely rare regardless. And by protesting and causing violence and not standing up for the national anthem is not the solution. Many blacks in the hood think that if they "stand up for themselves" by rejecting a police order is a good thing, ITS NOT. Thats why this extremely rare issue happens. The most violent cities are predominately black. When 8% of the population commits 60% of the violent crime and homicides there is a certain race and age group doing this and to each other for decades.

The wife had called to get him help. Police came, started yelling at him, pointing their guns at him (he had no gun, but had a knife...cutting himself). He started walking towards them. They shot him 5 times. It all happened in less than one minute from the arrival of the officers. By the way, he was white. This issue is worse for people of color, but this is a UNIVERSAL issue we need to address. How can a cop make $243,000, be armed, and have only 6 months training?

I'm sure it was worth it, school isn't that important, right. it's the half black in him that is just starving for attention, screaming look at me. That's why he planned to do this on a televised game. He could have planned a rally in his neighborhood like the BLM people, oh wait, I'm sure he lives in a gated community full of rich white people. Black lives really do matter, so maybe it would be a great idea to make the best effort to improve their quality of life. Cops are using deadly force in situations that they deem dangerous, it's their JOB. To criminals, crime is their job, and whenever the situation rises, they call it police brutality. Criminals need to be responsible for their actions. In St.Louis, that big fat kid tried to wrestle the officers gun off of him, and had I been given the same situation, I would've done the same thing. That doesn't make it brutality, it makes it stupidity of the criminal.

Do you really think this lone star is doing it to help repressed communities? Think about this, The man makes over 11 million a year. He is bi-racial. His meaning behind the purpose of the flag is twisted. He fails history class 101. There is no war on segregation. This is a mindset coming from repressed areas. The norm of society doesn't believe everything the news tells the social masses. Walk into your local police office. I think you will find it will be filled with a diverse group of individuals. When you go to war, your one color. They call it green. Crime in the poverty-ridden communities are drug and gang related. Are you telling the majority you support criminals? This is what I am getting. Take the time and find out about some of these individuals lives you're downing. Not just the victims and the victim's families. Also, the courts and the police. Take the time to get to know your community. Not all communities fight. This is abnormal. The criminal behavior comes when people talk and fail to get involved in volunteering. Look at your local street. Who cleans up the trash and sweeps the street outside your home? It should be you and your neighbors and that is called pride. What this individual is supporting is his brand image, not communities. Otherwise, his 11 million would be donated to the very communities he is trying to support. I don't see this happening.

@@jahpetemo I think it shows a lot about a person that they care more for a flag of clothe.. than actual human beings. But then again I also imagine its hard for people to feel what others actually feel on a daily basis.

My eyes are open now. Now I understand exactly what you were talking about. Colin Kaepernick is vindicated.

2:02 For the ones saying Kaepernick is disrespecting the soldiers he is clearly saying he is not trying to disrespect our soldiers, in fact he clearly says that our soldiers are fighting for us to have liberty freedom and justice for EVERYONE and when you have blacks facing systematic oppression in the US, our soldiers are dying in vein.
