THANK YOU! I love the album version of this song as well, but the first time I heard it was on Comedy Bing Bong! and it really stuck with me. Before I found this I'd been trying to fast-forward to the correct part of the podcast over and over again to show this version to people! Beautiful song; much appreciated.

Amazing new song. Can't wait for the new album! Been a fan of Colin's ever since I was a kid, when my dad introduced me and my brother to his men at work stuff. Even got to met him a couple of years back with my brother and dad when he performed in Bournemouth. Truly one of my heroes!

This is so nice. Highly recommended for anyone who has a Mom. Listen closely,, and call your Mom this Mother's Day. A mom intentionally taking the long way home to spend some time with her child. Artful.

In his live show he talks about his fond memories of spending time with his mom. As the story goes, she would always take the long way home which included a trip through the five ways, presumably so she could spend just a few more minutes with him.
