I know how to be critical of musical performance and preparation, and I can assure you this is beautiful genius at work. For those of you who can't handle Colin inviting his very talented wife to join him on stage to present another version of his masterpiece, there is probably nothing I can say that would reduce your hate. This is a gift, wether you accept it or not.

totally agree. the timing is impecable. they are in sync without looking at each other. I know how difficult that is. Haters gonna hate. I pity them for not seeing and hearing a beautiful, touching and heart-warming performance. I am deeply moved by this performance. this is true genius.

She is so beautiful outside and in and they're connected on a spiritual level with the music and she truly loves him you can tell.....Colin is awesome

One thing that is obvious is that her love for him is true and authentic. At the end of the day, what else could you ask for.

Makes me feel good knowing he's not standing on the stage of life alone.

We totally agree on that it's brilliant.

The truth is is her pitch is great and so is his.. it's a spiritual thing for both of them. They don't give a shit anymore. I fukin love it. A woman dedicated fully to her man and tapped into his energy fully. Who cares what it looks like listen!

What a phrase “Waiting for my real life to begin.” May everyone realize that’s what you strive for, beautiful. This is an unreal performance by amazing artists.

What a perfect harmony they have...

Colin's wife brings a unique and positive energy to this song (IMHO). And Colin's voice has such history and nostalgia to really everything he sings. They tie together very nicely here. The magic of music is made up of moments. This is one. Bravo!

I just love this. And I think the presence of his wife is symbolic of the joy in his life.

I saw them together last night and was so sad she didn’t sing her “birdie” part on this song. But otherwise, she was the light on the stage and we were so lucky to be seated so close to her! Love their harmonies.❤

I wrote a stipulation into my will that this song be played at my funeral.

Saw Colin last year in Boston. I can't think of a more powerful artist that has touched my heart thru music and even comedy at his live shows. The song Maggie actually brings me to tear each time I listen to it.

I saw him live, touring his Gathering Mercury album, and it was incredible! He was solo and owned the stage for over three hours! But I wouldn't mind seeing his wife, and her band, touring with him! Colin Hay IS the definition of modern folk music and I'll buy every album he releases. It took some searching but I managed to get even his out of print stuff; just gotta have it. He's just that damn good! His latest, Next Year People, is as good as anything else he's done and still carries itself without Colin sounding like anything he's done before. Respect!

Waiting for my real life to begin is one of my all-time favorite songs, poignant and dead-on, I'm sure many people can relate
