@@asian6oy it's an interesting modern take to the old school noir genre with a lot of homage to the great films in the past. It's definitely worth the watch, great character development, the dialogues has a very subtle sense of humor. Also aside from the pilot episode, the rest of them are just a little over 30mins per episode, so you wouldn't feel so upset even if you're disappointed by it. Not a heavy investment to watch is what I'm saying.

I agree with everything that was said the twist in episode 6 blew my mind there has to be a season 2 because there are so many questions to be answered and colin is gold in this character

I agree. Many questions. I loved it. But, I think the reveal could have been better. It just seemed a little rushed or thrown in. Like it was an after thought. But, it was still great.

(VAGUE SPOILERS BELOW - don't read if you haven't watched Sugar yet. If you like LA Confidential or moody Hollywood noirs in general (or Colin Farell), you gotta check it out and I hope you go in blind like I did and experience it as it was meant to be) : I think I may have stopped watching if the big twist was in Episode 1 (I had no idea there even was a twist coming), so good job to them on waiting and gaining our trust and investment before pulling the rug out from under us - it felt less cheap and less like a contrivance, and more like a brave (and completely absurd) artistic choice that added more colour to an already fully realized world. I just remember laughing and going "what the fuck???" but it was easy to ride the wave and go with the show because of all the equity it had built up for me to that point. All the performances were great (Colin is fantastic, of course, but there are so MANY good actors on this show), the direction, the cinematography, the mood - thoroughly enjoyed it. My only worry for Season 2 is it ventures too much into sci-fi and they make it too goofy. Please don't make it too goofy.

Colin is great, but this is another series that should've been a 2-hour movie TOPS.

Apple needs to put all episodes out at once and not dribble them out
