A singer-songwriter from near Cattletsburg, Kentucky, he now works full-time as a musician. His musical passion started as a young teen, when his dad bought him his first guitar in 8th grade. It was really his stepdad, Scott Sword, who encouraged his learning, and Cole credits him with being the real reason he started playing.

Dont meant to drop a name on another artists great song. Zach Bryan, as amazing as this gentleman. Less tight jeans cutting off the circulation to his music. Hope we get to see both of these story tellers see the stars.

I'm so proud of my eastern Ky brothers and the resurgence of the spirit of the ORIGINAL blue grass and heartfelt folk music!
This brought me to my knees...I have had to end a marriage of thirteen years. I've faced a Federal indictment for her. I've suffered for her. Risked life and farm. I've bled because of her more than once. I reckon we all have our floods.
I live over 5000 miles away in Ireland and I still feel every word thank you Cole, Red Barn and KZread a privilege to hear this man do his thing

I’m not being hyperbolic when I say this: this is one of the most mesmerizing songs I’ve heard in quite a while. The whole album was a joy to listen to, but this song in particular just keeps making its way to my playlists.

The Flood and Coal Shooter are the most heartbreaking songs I've heard. This is real country music! Storytelling with emotion. Not rap beats about drinking. Cole reminds me of Kenny Rogers and George jones.
Tyler got his start with his Red Barn sessions. You really should do the same. Really amazing. This session should go on an album. Serious. It's that good.

Saw this guy in pineville a few months ago. Went for lost dog, but he had the best performance of the ENTIRE weekend. This guy is is an absolute gem.

@@LiamATL007 Sometimes it is good to know someone cares and sometimes it is good to share burdens. My wife of thirteen years - for whom I walked through hell - lost control and had to be evicted from my farm. It is my flood. But waters recede. We carry on. May God bless us both.

@@Bigrlboi1 I met him when he played a show with my buddy Austin Dennis. He can sure give you chills with his songs. I like his mentality about everything too.
Cole's Mercy album is one of the best albums I've listened to. Love it. This one is great and the rest of the album is just as great!
I never ever write comments on KZread, but i just have to say "thank you for what you do"... Never stop what you do we love you!
Best music out right now is coming from these independent artists. Childers hit the red carpet and now his music is falling short.

Childers was raw and so good in the beginning. I saw two or three shows where he had songs that he had just came up with which ended up going on the country squire album. Those songs were amazing and raw before the overproduced country squire album in my opinion. Then I saw a show after country squire came out and those songs sounded nothing like before. Less is more sometimes.
