Guaranteed, this video is not just Coldplay production, but Korean production which is on another level!

This MV reminds me of BTS Heartbeat MV. So futuristic and well shoot. The brains of the Dave Mayers portraying the galaxy is amazing. 80% of the set is made anf 20% is green screen. They shoot Coldplay from Barcelona(1st scene from the MV). The aliens all have the actual costumes. There's an article about the MV. It is well detailed how the production goes.

Yes, this. I actually thought of Heartbeat / BTS Universe album (mini-album?) when I first heard this song, but the MV helps cement the correlation in my head.

In my case, considering the story of the mv and the message behind it, it is totally fitting. The 3rd band I feel represents the misfits, the people out of the norm, the people of various gender, nationality, the 'foreigners', the misrepresented in our society. We are all coming together into this "Universe". And if you notice in the videos, the talkbox are during those moments when the Supernova are playing. So they also get to express their voice, music, and artistry. On first listen of the lyric video, it is quite puzzling why they put that, but the MV is an Aha moment. They really put a lot of thought and this music and video is more than the glossy surface.

I actually really love the loud talkbox. Makes it feel different from other Coldplay songs.

As i've said before this song is so beautiful that it makes me both smile and cry at the same time but now I've seen the MV I'm crying again it's so beautifully filmed and made I'm just in love with it and hearing those harmonies again especially Jimin with RM and Chris Martin with JK it's so beautiful. So one word to describe the entire song and MV is beautiful as it remind me just how much the lads miss us and how much we miss them

Was so shocked and so very very unexpected and I LOVE IT. Going to go watch again and again so I don't miss anything and I may slow it down too. Coldplay and BTS slayed it. Best collab of the year. Am a fan of both. Hoping to see them on a live stage together some day. Wonder what the rest of Coldplay's album is going to be like.

The louder Talk Box and the Shut It Down and other added sounds are only in the Music Video. SuperNova7 is the name of the Alien Band they invented for the 'story' - Silencers are made up from 2011 by Coldplay, they want to kill all music and color and that is the bright color thing you alluded to from Coodplay branding. There is a full story and comic book series on it. The 2011 Album was called Mylo Xyloto - I would look it up it is fascinating "The album tells the story of a war against sound and colour by a supremacist government, set in the world of Silencia, an Orwellian society. "

I really love the talk box, it adds to the storytelling especially with this MV

Supersolis is the 3rd planet involved. The big ship says " shut it down" and the female computer voice says "silence is eminent".

I thought the talk box being in the forefront was a bit loud at first for me too...however...after seeing the mv, I understand why it was. Supernova, the alien band, was in the forefront/live during this part of the mv while BTS & Coldplay were the holograms...so in THAT context, it made sense to me.

Think guardians of the galaxy / avatar / pirates / disney. I love the talkbox since it gives that distorted and spacey effect that goes well with the concept

Supernova7 is the alien band. The talk box is.the alien robot singing in the MV that's why it's robotic sounding. Also at the end when the silencers are after them the computer is saying “silence is imminent “. But the DJ warps away to safety. 💜

I LOVE the talk box! I don't think it's too loud at all.😁 It was saying "Silence is Imminent" at the end.

I expected a lot of effort being put into this video as Coldpaly must be very aware of BTS MV's great productions but this video blows my mind. It's so much better than I ever thought it would be. Ialso think Coldplay is showing a lot of respect and love for BTS with giving them a lot of exposure in the video instead of just having them in for a short segment or so .

The talk box is the robot playing the drums and singing, I suppose it’s that inclusiveness BTS is always promoting, no matter who you are you are valid… but that’s just my theory :)

For me the talk box has its own conceptual purpose for the story they want to tell. At first when I listen to the track alone without the music video it does felt out of place. But with the context of the supernova band (the space/alien people) I felt it fit in with the story telling aspect so i got more comfortable with it.

I was actually talking to my husband about how (especially k-pop) releases songs and stuff all the time. I'm 50, so I remember how you had to wait YEARS to get new music from your favorite band. Releasing singles and mini-albums is great because you get new music all the time. It stays current and in the moment. I really liked this song and video. I think maybe what is flying under the radar a bit is how huge it is that Coldplay just put on their own album, a song performed partially in Korean. That is huge. I hope that fact brings more Western attention for bands like BTS or just bands from anywhere. Maybe it doesn't matter so much the language the song is in. Maybe radio stations will pull their collective heads out of their arse and realize that not all music is in English. I also liked that they used the fact that though the pandemic kept them from being in the video physically together, they could use that physjca absence as a storytelling device.

My guess for most videos being released on Fridays is so that the str3ams count towards the Billboard charts. The last day for tracking is Thursday and Friday starts the new tracking week. That’s why most new song releases are on Fridays.

I think that having come together to unite their forces of love and friendship is great in two wonderful groups in the artistic field in which they teach us to love and respect each other and know that we are important for the planet and they for us, and we for them, there are very few groups that give us such beautiful messages to our helpful souls and good messages, thanks and blessings for them and for you too

I think I read BTS filmed in front of Green Screen in SK with the director telling them how the lighting should be based on the storyboard. Coldplay filmed their parts in Spain.

It is like a mini movie and I really like the message. In a way it's sad if one day we aren't allowed to listen or play music. Part of the scene where Coldplay was playing with the building and fountain in the back is a place in Rubi Spain, Pool of Castellnou. BTS was mostly green screen.

I found the talk box too loud too, but seeing it as the voice of a robot in the MV (representing a fan? army? 😀 -- wait, it's a robot drummer in the third band) makes me more okay with it, cos it fits the story.

Actually BTS MV’s production wise are more elaborate, they use real scenarios more and less CGI’s on the other hand production costs in Korea are cheaper than US and UK. The more elaborate MV’s from BTS cost between $500k to $1M. this MV has a lot of animations mix with CGI,s which lower the production cost’s a little bit.
