Being a former heroin addict, this song hits home for me. I spun a web, I got stuck, and I hurt people doing stupid things I would never do outside of addiction. I lost my high school sweetheart of 10 years because I was stupid, I stole from her family and that was the last straw, she left me and I deserved it. I never meant to hurt her or them, but when you're in active addiction you don't think rationally. In a way, I'm thankful I made that stupid decision. After we broke up I met my, now, fiance. Crazy thing is, she was an addict too, and we went on a "Bonnie and Clyde" run together, ended up in jail, I went to rehab for 6 months, and we both got clean. We've been clean since January of 2015. We're both thankful that judge sent us to jail, had that not happened who knows where we would be. Now we have two beautiful children and a beautiful home. It's crazy the paths our lives can take just by small decisions. The night I stole from my ex's grandparents there was actually a flood, I couldn't get home from work because the roads were flooded out so I stayed with them for the night. That's when I made that stupid decision. I actually contemplated trying to make it home that night anyways, but decided against it. Had I gone home, who knows, maybe I would still be with my high school sweetheart, but in a way I'm glad I didn't. I likely wouldn't of gotten clean and I would've never had my two babies or this amazing home I live in now. When I was with my ex still, one day I was in withdrawal, I was extremely sick, and I actually had a premonition of swinging my daughter on a swing set. Crazy thing is, she loves having me push her on our swing set. Anyways, that's my memoirs, thanks for reading lol

I want this old "cold play" back. His new albums are nothing closer to this.

I have been a Coldplay fan ever since I heard their song “Yellow” on the “Delilah love songs at night show.” They have helped me get through a lot of things just with their lyrics and their songs. I listen to them when I’m sad, happy, mad, any emotion I might be having, I just turn on some Coldplay and listen. This is one of the best playlists I have found here on KZread. Thank you :)

I'm right there with you about metal. Three years ago we sprang for tickets at the last minute. It was a truly great concert. Only downer was they didn't perform Trouble. A truly beautiful song.

I was a hellion as a young adult, which cost me the love and my place in my two eldest daughters lives. This song sums up what I'd give all that I have to sing to this to both of them in person. Although life is filled with happiness, sometimes the pain we feel due to such a mistake we make can overwhelm us to the point of perpetual sorrow.

My song when I got clean was "I wanna know what love is", by Foreigner. Every time I listened to that song it made me think, and feel again about a lot of things I'd do differently and some I would have never done at all had I been in the right mind set. I used for 23 yrs, and I've been clean for 27. A lot of heartache has come with those 27 yrs but thank God I have never looked back, picked up where I left off or ever missed that life I was living, or should I say the hell I was living. I don't miss what I left behind, nor the ppl I did crazy things with. To anyone still struggling to get out i say, "remember that God does not create junk" he created an "awesome person when he created you". The choices you made, and while not the right ones can be reversed and you can take complete control of your life again and live it right. It's "never" too late. God bless you wherever you stand!!! I pray you find your way. You will love your life again!!!
