I am Oz and play the anthem so often it comes up in my KZread feed every day. It feels like being 'home' and I never tire of it.

It has to be this. The best anthem in the world thanks.

Many voices - like a Swiss Army voice!😂 I first fell in love with the Welsh National anthem when I used to watch Ivor the Engine!🚂

🇬🇧❣️I'm Danish and didn't know anything about the Welsh Anthem, before I in an interview between Rob Brydon and Chris Martin talked about it. Rob sings it so beautiful and powerful. What a voice ! He performed it very well. I'll never forget that song🇬🇧♥️

That's not exactly correct. For example "Gwlad" means land, or country, not Wales. But the gist of it is mostly right. Always difficult to translate a language like Welsh into English directly.

Englishman here, who has absolutely no shame in admitting that Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau blows God Save The King out of the water! No matter how much you guys hate us, I can't bring myself to hate you back.

And that's how to sing the welsh anthem!

Sorry, appreciate the Coldplay gesture and Rob’s spirited effort but this totally pales into comparison with the KZread video of the anthem sung before the Wales v England rugby international in 2013. Check it out at volume. It will blow your socks off.

A Welsh rugby crowd screams it out. Thousands at a Welsh concert and barely a titter. Sums up the generation to me. Too busy with their phones cameras ant Twitter to sing . They are lost souls in the land of dragons.

why would a welsh man sing the English national anthem? "God save the queen" is the English national anthem not the Welsh national anthem. Also your sentence is grammatically incorrect maybe try and learn English before trying to force your national anthem on others.

Hackerman Enterprises if you ask most welsh people if they're british they'll laugh in your face. we're welsh first and foremost and don't like identifying as british because A) britain doesn't respect welsh people on the whole B) the royals with wales/welsh in them are english which is disrespectful and C) god save the queen fucking sucks. britain hates wales, and doesn't give a flying fuck so why should we? the welsh have animosity with being labeled as british for varying reasons, it's the same with scotland.

Hackerman Enterprises mate I'm English and I hate God save the queen. Coldplay played the Welsh anthem because they were in Wales. God save the queen should be the British anthem and the British anthem alone. Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England should all have their own separate anthems with land of hope and glory being England's 👍
