The cold of the north allowed the evolutionary development of survival and a special northern character, which is not afraid of any difficulties. Overworking in the summer - the summer is very short and there was a lot to do, working 20 hours a day on the verge of strength. And winter is for thoughts and the development of the mind. We are not even talking about Yakutia now, but in general about the northern peoples, in particular about the Russian people. The main quality of the northern people is helping people. Otherwise, death. You always have to help. This has developed a special Russian character. And endurance is on the verge of possibility. Russians are not afraid of any difficulties. We look at our land and climate from this point of view. God gave it to us. And why and for what - it remains to be found out, this is a big mystery😊❤🇷🇺

He is OK. It is enough for our dogs to be well-fed to survive such temperatures. It is clear that he is well fed, has a large reserve of fat, a thick skin and excellent undercoat. In fact, dehydration is much more dangerous for him, water is difficult to find, and eating snow does not quench his thirst. You will be surprised, but you cannot drive such dogs into the house, they are simply too hot and they prefer to relax by digging holes for themselves in the snow :)

Sakha Republic (Yakutia). Russian Far East. I am from Yakutia and I know very well how life is here. The territory of Yakutia is more than 3 million square kilometers, there are a million people here. In winter, the most common temperature is -50°C and often -45°C. School is canceled only at -48°C. Despite the frost and winter, which lasts here for 9 months, our summers are very hot. Normal temperature +30°C. Can be +40°C. Yakut clothes are specially made for such frost and such heat, so there is no need to worry about whether we survive here. Although it is possible to die due to the cold while going somewhere. The Yakuts have been getting used to this climate since childhood. And by the way, many people say that it is not cold in Yakutia because of the dry climate, but this is not true. At -40°C with wind ~5-10m/sec, the temperature feels like -60°C (˚ ˃᷄ω˂᷅)

I’m Yakut. And I want people to know that Yakutia has a many problems. The first one is a poverty problem. Many people in Yakutia live without heating their homes and go outside to toilet because they haven’t money for toilet in home. Many Yakut want to leave from Russia because of war but they can’t ‘cause they fell into dept. The second problem is racism. Russians always laughed at Asians people because for our accent and appearance. And the last one is problem of disappearance Yakut culture. This is so sad, but many Yakut children don’t speak Yakut and don’t understand Yakut language. All of as can speak in Russia. But not all can speak Yakut. Our rich culture gradually disappears. We need a help! Yakutia needs a help! And I know, we will be an independent nation! (sorry but my English isn’t very good😅)

Yakutsk is the coldest city on Earth. It is not the coldest place on Earth where people live. That would be Oymyakon, Sakha, Siberia. Temps get down to -70 F consistently during winters. And the coldest uninhabited place on Earth is Ridge A in Antarctica, Southeast of the South Pole, where temps get as low as -90 F consistently.
