This is one of my favorite Eminem songs. I bought the clean version for my kids and there are almost no words in it because the whole song is laced with profanity. It's almost an instrumental.

Bro great breakdown I just think you missed the double meaning on that Michael J Fox line. Yes it is what you said but the 2nd meaning being that Michael J Fox was the lead character of the movie "Back to the Future" where he time traveled. In order to time travel, time has to move forward and time moves forward as the world spins. Thats why he says "these are shoes that you can't fill shit the day that happens the world will stop spinning and Michael J Fox will come to a stand still". He will no longer be able to travel in time because if the world stops spinning time will have officially stopped. Great breakdown though.

Recovery need more attention. It's Eminem's best album I say. Might be, like you said, "completely in Em's new, sober state of mind". That's a total Eminem, with a bit of Shady, and enough Marshall.

I was kinda hoping for No Love but still dope video.

Relapse was my home alone favorite! Recovery came in back in 2010 and I was coming off a College sweetheart break-up..Me and Em vibed!!! I bought that CD at a Fred Meyers with no knowledge he dropped...it was crazy, and then Cinderella Man took over the air waves. Space Bound was my real jam but songs 1, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17...where my second fav! I had that CD on rotation : P

Revival rocked for me, at least a lot of it but that is because 1) he took a risk on trying something new and 2) he and I are the same age and songs like Bad Husband and some others resonated bc of my own life. But Killshot and Kamikaze take me back to when I was first hearing him.

How tf do people say Recovery was trash. This was the turning point of his career. My honest assumption is that pre recovery its causes he didnt use as many entendres and word play He was more of a story teller It got too complex for ‘casual’ listeners. But that’s just me

Same for me. Old Em is still legendary. It was amazing what was coming out of his mouth, but Recovery just took it to a whole new level. Its where we saw him progress as a legitimate MC and he solidified anything he had done before. I love old Em but Recovery is my personal favorite. Every song has so much depth that it makes my head spin haha
