I am not a huge fan of fishing in the cold weather, but I believe in layering with quality garments. Speaking of Grudens the deck boss flip flops are the best flip flops ever made.

Can you wash this stuff in the washer without it damaging? I'm trying to figure out what would do because when we winter time snapper fish with squid, everything gets gross. I looked at Helly Hansen and I get a 50% discount with them but you can't wash those but you can hose them off.

It is goretex so I know they make soap specifically for that. They do have machine washing instructions on the labels so looks completely safe to machine wash.

Any recommendations on gear for the hands?

I don’t personally like to fish with gloves but I do keep some warm gloves along to warm my hands up when they start getting cold. I just take them off when I start fishing again.
