The American Bladesmith Society’s guidelines for Master Smith and Journeyman Smith applicants require that (s)he cut through hanging manila or sisal rope, a minimum of one (1) inch in diameter. The applicant must sever the rope in two with one stroke to test the blade’s edge geometry and sharpness.

My wife bought me one of these for my birthday in 2011, and it's ridden in my pocket almost every day since. It's still going strong, and locks up as tight as ever, after being used on everything from opening cardboard boxes to cutting 1/2" thick leather. Other than occasional sharpening and wiping fingerprints off the blade, and blowing the pocket lint out of the pivot, I've had to do no work on it. Someday, I'll get an Espada, but so far, the Spartan has done everything I've ever asked of it.
The Spartan is indeed one of cold steel best blades, my favorite EDC.

The current thumbnail has “359” on the screen . In the video the counter is in motion and works up to 600, just seems that’s unnecessarily “advertising” lower capabilities than it actually possesses.

чего бесполезный? я на природу его беру всегда,кустарник порубить самое оно что бы место для стоянки очистить,да и на кармане ношу)
