@@burakkurose I had a border collie. On July 22nd it will be 1 year that I lost him. Miss him everyday. He was almost 14 years old. I also miss my very first doggy who was a terrier/spaniel mix. We were raised together (poor mommy 🤣). Those special creatures know how to bond with us. They're little furry angels without wings.

It's really interesting how engaged Nala is with everything you do. She overseas you unpacking and setting up camp, inspects the tent sticks before you pouch them, she's as involved as she can possibly be, if she'd have hands she'd be doing it too! You have a genuine companionship, partnership with Nala, and the love you share is so strong. Even though her whiskers are greying, she's exited like young pupp to be out in the wild with you. I love your channel bc it really shows the bond and connection we can have, the fun we can share, with our dogs, if we care enough to listen to them as much as they do to us. That communication, far beyond words, is truly enriching. Dogs are such patient loving teachers we can learn so much from. Being in the moment and enjoying the natural world through the eyes of a joyous dog is a great privilege that makes us better humans. We have had four Goldens throughout the years with the last one passing two months ago. We have decided to go dog free as my husband and I are retiring and we want to travel. Nala gives me a golden hit without the responsibility. Honestly I feel guilty because I never gave my sweet doggies the life that Nala has. You are both so lucky to have each other

Joy is contagious! There's something wonderful about watching our pets reveling in the simple things...a little splash and a cold dink from a stream or laying out in the shade after a long hike. I hope Nala and her hooman have lotta more camping trips!

A small Nalgene water bottle filled with boiling water and wrapped in a sock is really nice for situations like this. If you or your dog are cold or wet it'll really help and it usually stays warm for about six hours 🙂. I also bring some of those chemical heat packets for emergencies. They've made some unfortunate situations bearable. I love how sweet you are to your dog 🐕🙂 Nala is a zoomie MACHINE!

Got emotional when Nala came to hug you in the morning right after she woke up.. ❤

The bond between you two is incredible. The way she gently and lovingly leans her head into you when she "smooshes" you really does say it all. The love of a dog truly is like nothing else. As humans, we're so incredibly blessed to be able to have these awesome creatures by our sides. I hope you and Nala have each other for many more years!

I’ve had a Lab get shivering cold camping. I opened my sleeping bag and he snuggled in. He kept me warm I kept him warm. Only problem was from then on he always wanted to do it.

I lost my dog beginning of may this year, time of writing is mid July so its been just over 2 months ago now and it hit hard i went everywhere with him. He had to be put to sleep at 14. Yeah i know howyou feel brother, dogs are Angels on Earth. Just a question for you, are you getting another dog? Also sorry for your loss the pain is real. honestly i love the quiet moments of setting up camp and cooking food and drink. it genuinely captures what is actually great about camping and hiking. even though im not a super active person and have only been truly camping a couple times, these videos bring that sense of those cold bitter mornings and yet haply with the sounds around you. your videos make me want to go backpacking, is what i mean 😊

Hi Chris, great video of your Backpacking trip in the Utah mountains. What a beautiful view to wakeup to outside your tent. So much snow left, but with the heavy snowfall this winter it makes sense. With it so cold, I was surprised you didn't have Nala sleep on your side to help keep each other warm with body heat. They always say a dog is man's best friend and it sure shows with you and Nala.
