Cold Exposure and Cold-related Injury in the Workplace

This past installment of the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine grand rounds, on Friday 31-May-2024, focused on cold exposure and cold-related injury as described by Dr. Coomaralingam.
Dr Luckshman Coomaralingam MD, MPH, MS, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Medicine and Public Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is board certified in Occupational Medicine and works in the Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health at Mount Sinai Hospital. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and a Minor degree in Psychology, and a Masters degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Lehigh University, his medical degree and a Master in Public Health degree in Quantitative Methods: Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Rutgers University. After 2 years of Internal Medicine residency, he completed his Occupational Medicine residency training at Mount Sinai.
