I'm also going for the same course, and i feel Essex is the best in terms of ranking, living, education, and it has a good time up with hotel chains as well as a self owned hotel which is run by Essex team

Check Colchester distance from university. If its far away from your uni, then i will recommend you to live near the university. But if its close then it should be fine.

Every course have different fee structure, you can check on university website online. And yes you can get admission without IETS. I don't know exactly about Initial deposit it could be 2k or 3k.
