It's good, from this video I learn the way to fix my Coke Can car's dead battery and even upgrade them.

RC Garage.com or other online sellers but not Ebay PS. About to up load the next coke can car vid full carbon body mod, 2 speed , stick controller, big motor and lipo 60 - 130 mAh worked all week on this one.

+INVENTOR3 Hello I don't know what the record was before if any as I could not find anything for this scale. But I'm quite shore I can go much faster with the tricks I learned doing the first 2 drag cars. Is there a worlds fastest Zip Zaps records ? I know you like them making them too fast .PS. Did a burn out in the hi speed car and had a tire come off and shoot across a large room had trouble finding it. Thank for watching

How do you go about charging the battery, now that the plug is under the body? Also, how do you prevent the battery charge from falling below the safety voltage and damaging itself? Do you time your runs?

Hello If you do a lipo battery change into one of these you need to cut the charge plug off the controller and make a charge adaptor to go on to an S1 lipo charger. Or remove all the charge plug and switch in the car on go direct S1 plugs to the board and remove to charge batteries, One of my drag cars has had a 130mAh in it rand for ages before charge needed. You should notice a drop in power driving the car and will know its time to charge or time and check runs at first I did and was shocked the run times. Mod a Micro RC and have a good time !

Hello I don't think this can be done easy but if your real keen it may be done just may be a lot of work to do. Look at the coil on the board I may be key to a quick mod I think its on the bottom of the board.

Hi, I'm planning to mod some of my coke can cars. The first thing i'd like to do is add proportional acceleration and steering. I have a couple Zip Zap SE's, which already have proportional accel/steering, but i rather take a cheap coke can car and mod it up, for the fun of it. I heard you mention a plantraco reciever. Could you share some information on which would work best for these cars? Does it have a lipo low voltage cut off? Did you use the 3rd channel for anything?

Hello I will have to look up the kit I get but its there larger out of there two micro receivers for the car set ups you only need transmitter, receiver, plug ( if you buy a flight pack you can harvest the plug from one of the accuators ) Its needed to connect the motor or just but a set of plugs from them. Also you need to buy or make batteries they sell them or a kit to make you also get 2 in the flight pack That's all you need and last I looked there receivers were very cheap. I don't use the 3rd or 4th channel but you could plug in a accuator or 2. Yes voltage cut back and off when I used for flyin power down for 30 seconds chance to lane then off. Some of my hi speed set up drew much power some 5-7 seconds then off made for some quick and crashy landings. Those Zip Zaps and SE ones have to look again tried to get some for a vid and biuld channel budget very bad and there also ways an expensive buy to get to AUS. They look like a good one to mod with the steering wheel controller Thanks for comment

hi bigbad. The zip zaps i bought already had proportional steering. They are special editions. You can search them online under the name "Zip Zaps SE", but they are discontinued and pretty rare to find. I got mine on ebay. Not interesting in selling, sorry. Hope you find one.

Money is great but I have been trying to get my hands on one of these cars for my channel for a long time and it would be payment enough. Get out a magnifiy glass and look up close at the accuator wires there the micro fine copper wires running up to the frount of the car if you find nothing wrong try resoldering them. If there still connected just melt solder and see if any change.

Hi, I have had a look at doing this but a little stuck. the lipo battery I am adding just has a black and red wire but the car has 5 red wires already going to the original battery (2 at top 3 at bottom) please help explain how I change battery thanks Rick

+SOFIE Kent Hello if your stuck one way out is to just disconnect all pos from battery and marked them or solder all together and do the same to the neg. And then just solder all pos wires to pos lipo battery all and Neg to the neg. The extra volts can kill a light some times on some cars depends on the year how old but will not slow it down or stop it working. You cars wiring may be a little diffrent to the one in the vid as there not all the same. Always use a volt meter to confirm Neg and Pos before cutting wires if your not shore and mark them if you need to or make a quick diagram. Don't give up its worth the effort. May be a way but would be a brick car. Get one of the cars like this with the most room they make wagons and others and then get smaller servo for the atomic race board there is only one I could find as they use a 5 or 6 wire servo no others will work but its smaller and plugs in. And there may be room to fit all other stuff in but, This much of a power mod will need a motor swop, compound gear removed,rear and front bearings and more. But have looked in to this but the unit I have ready with small servo is going in to my revell monster truck

I put a lithium out of a mini copter into a mini rc that i had from 2004 the original battery pack provides 2 different voltages for a turbo feature but it was weak and didn't last a minute after charging the new bat last 10 mins but smokes the tires I need better traction

Hello I may cover this more in a vid soon but for mow. Get 3mm dia carbon tube with 1mm hole there it and also so bearings sealed OD 6 id 3 X 2mm to 3mm wide and some small rubber rings to use as bearing stops, fine sand paper and some very good glue. Drill out your wheels and main drive gear 2.9 mm - 3mm. lightly sand carbon until parts just slide in place use cars rear end to get all spacing right and mark them on the rod then sand or file 3 micro flats were parts are to go this helps the glue hold. And when all ready just glue all in place but be shore as once done if wrong drill out carbon rod and start again. Bearings in these small cars make a big diffrance all round and just doing this can be noticed a lot.

Have had a few ask for this one working on it. I will be trying to do a refit into a steering wheel type controller. its was tricky to work out had to cut the Coke can car board in half to fit it in. Not finished yet but getting there.

Hello If you install a lipo you must charge with a S1 lipo charger and not the standard controller as it will kill a lipo. I just cut the standard led off and make a charging adaptor for it. I will cover this a again in more detail in a vid out soon I will be over halling a 1:68 scale Revell coke can car its the smaller harder to get size. Thank for watching and asking this is an important thing to cover.

Use alkaline or lipo in the controller, If you drive near electrical cables or metal panels like fridge range will suffer. You can add a small wire to the cars aerial can help range.

Hello Look in the front wheels for hair if its not this and your steering does not go left and right when in the air testing look trim if its not in the middle then . Maybe an inside job the spring inside may be out of it working pos tack apart and have a look also if you do look and see the two magnets are still glues in place. Let me know if anything works.

Hello It will work and have a very long running time, But the weight and size of the battery may make mounting tricky. But almost any S1 will run it and not kill it unless the battery is so large and heavy its weight is to much load for the motor car will go slow motor will heat up and die in a short time. Good question. I'm now filming the Hot Wheels/Coke can car body swop to full rc You may like it

Yeah watched it already, do you know anything about 1:63 Coke Can cars from ebay for around 5$? Its called ""Coke Can Mini 1 : 63 Radio Remote Control Micro Racing Car Toy Vehicle"" on ebay, I wish there was more info on those cars. Nice vids, but I wish you made videos about ways of changing freq on those cars, it sucks when you want to race with people.

Hello Looks fine just always check the pos and neg at the plug is the same as whet you pluging in to if not you can change them at the bat if need, As same batteries like some of the 9 egels are reversed but almost all other are the same standard.

Almost any S1 of any size should work with out harm to equipment. Like the S1 work distance record that was 600 mAh on a coke can car and now has done over 20km no worries nothing even gets hot.

When ever I do a micro rc lipo swop I always make a charging adaptor for that model as most micro RC lipos will have a control chip and you cannot use the stock lipo charger that comes with the model after you swop to an un chipped lipo so I charge most of my Micro RCs with and old S1 9 eagels controller/charger but you can buy a good charger from Hobby King very cheap even a USB S1 lipo charger and just plug in the adaptor you made from the charge lead of the stock controller. I will cover this in more detail soon.

Sounds like an accuator wire broke, not solder right or shorting out on other parts. Open up and have a look and see what you can find its the very fine wires 2 that run from front to the board they are like thick hair may need to magnify to inspect them. Let me know what you find out I'll help if I can.

Hello Yes I hope as doing the you tube and Patreon vid of this now. Fist just a Hot Wheel body swop then more power may be needed as heavy, then I will show a 2 CH mod full function. I may even do the car with on off switch and charging socked as it is so the body can stay on after mod it done.

Hello If your running a lipo you must charge with a lipo charger and no the standard controller as I will only kill the lipo. I have a 3 part coke can car vid that covers this can't upload for 2 weeks trying hard to fix and get them up ASAP

If I only had a budget your right small cam and small better equipment with a steering wheel would make much fun and great footage also. May be in the future I will one day get payed for the first time doing vids and fund some new equipment as there's much good stuff out there. I've seen a very good coke can car build with vid transmitter system looked like a lot of fun.

Hello Good question I have been spending too much time looking at a project like this but way to over worked to get it started but last night did start doing it with a vid, Doing a Coke Can Car in to a Hot wheels ford focus. Dodge should have more room to work with I'll have a look at the model but if coke can equipment will not fit there is other smaller that will but it can cost much more like a Detang board size of finger nail around $65+ just for it alone but it does have full funcion with over 11 channel options as well as 3 main channels as well. There way to rich for me to work with but I may have found a way to fit a modded WLtoys board in one with modded mamo servo.

Just some smaller rc recivers that are around can cost a lot like the Detang stuff I've never used cost way to much for my budget of -$ I'm always looking for base model recivers for good base functions and a low cost. Some of the costly stuff has 10+ more channels and functions than I ever use so unless your doing a full function car build these expensive boards are just wasted expense. I may have found a way to fit a WLtoys L939 board into a coke can car with a nano servo if so the whole build with car will cost less than $50 compared to $65+ just for a board. ps. looking into the models you listed today.

wish someone could do a drift car on this scale. Would be great to drift Hotwheels properly with counter-steer

This is a challange of mine to do I have a coke can car and I have a servo set up with steering wheel control. I will do a vid in 3 week or so of it and the build also may not work first time round and may have to do two vids on it. There is a maker in Japan that was and may still be selling a car twice the size but with full package set for track or drifting using power to do it also not just slippery wheels. Was the best of it kind for the size I have ever seen can drift slow in to turns or fast. Was a very advanced RC and far better than common style of drift cars around today.

your the first to ask I thort some one would have asked much sooner. I put second car up out of the way and did the shot you sore but forgot to turn it off and was the same frequancy. It made me jump behind the camera when it happened. It was like the car did not wish to be left out of the fun on the floor.

Groovy You can also put a 1 cell lipo in the coke can car controller, And add to it antena on the car and controller, I don't know what works best but will do testing and show in the next coke can car vid. I may also have a track car challange starting with a other you tuber that does very good mods with these cars and runs them fast around tracks. Hello There is 2 tricks for endurance I will share. 1. put in a lipo and also a small resister on the pos motor wire to keep the speed down you can even put an ajustable resister a sub showed me this one. 2. Dubble up use two standard cells that come in the cars so you increase running time not the voltage and speed. This way cars speed will still be the same just run for twice as long. I can send you to a subs vids that did these mods.

May be in time as I many keep asking its tricky to do cheap enough but keep looking to see the best way to do some thing like this for all. Thank for watching and asking this question. I may have found a company that sells a very good 1:64 comes with 2.4G and pistel grip full ajustable controller working hard with them to get them out main stream sales. It may be a very good platform to get and mod I will do a vid on it very soon.

I think I know what happened and will cover this in the next Coke Can Car vid. The motor is also a generator and being geared down when driving it geared up when rolling down a hill fast or with extra weight can back power the unit may be the reason yours is dead/Parts Sorry to hear this

Brilliant Mate. I have a few of those but never got around to the idea of modding them. I've been too obsessed with putting a tiny motor in a Hot Wheels Car. This will be shared...!!! 👍

Hello Have you seen my last vid there is a hidden secret for the Hot Wheels/Coke can car Fans There is a Tesla Hot Wheels car in the back ground as I've been working hard to find and do a Coke Can Car Hot wheels one may be the track drag car challenge but at this time its to be a Floor runner but may go a step more and make plantraco controlled.
