@@s.stewart8113 my buddy's last name is the same as someone who at the time was a known BIG name in the drug trafficking world, who was from Mexico. (This person is now a guest of the US government at ADX) And the ECU was being shipped from Mexico to the USA. 🤣 That last name is pretty common in Latino countries, but I get where they were coming from. But to drill a bunch of half inch diameter holes through a computer module and then continue it down the line and delivering it to the customer that way is absolute silliness.

Happen to me. Bought some furniture overseas and paid a lot of money for it. Border services tore it all apart and sent me the remains of them. Nice letter explaining why they did it. I had to file several forms and go the legal route to be reimbursed. Since it was a custom order , they were out several thousand of dollars and my lawyers fees. Took nearly two years to be resolved. Never had a problem since; I always put that case file # on all of my I end that I have shipped now. Small reminder to leave my stuff intact!

wrapped bricks look like cakes so not really. every festival goer in America is hiding drugs in the food theyre bring in for raves. its pretty common, you have to be dumb or not creative to think that. entire food/produce companies are made to receive bulk orders of things like limes or avocados with small amounts of cocaine or h packaged in small amounts. dock workers and others paid off along the way too.

Hence why we need a two-pronged approach of attacking the problem of drugs. Keep as much drugs off the street as we can and minimize the amount of potential buyers in various ways.

A genuine question: what happens when they falsely assume something is hidden inside an object, drill it in half and don’t find anything? Like do they have some kind of insurance that will help the owners restore the value or what?

Because it’s a cashier check, that can be reissued or cancelled , the funds are still sitting in a account in a bank. They seized paper that will be worthless with one visit to the issuing bank.

I agree. They are on a mission! Every hit helps. We are losing too many to drugs. I imagine getting people to try is a win win because usually they now have a customer! BUT the journey of being addicted leads to hardship, loss of everything including family, possibly homelessness, sickness, doing deplorable things to feed addiction, sickness, death. So bottom line some people are getting very rich thru the suffering of others. As we know, life can be so hard. Drugs can help for a minute but life becomes so much harder than it was. I applaud those trying to prevent that horrible cycle. 💗

It's hilarious they are alll excited about getting one tube full of coke but 50 other coke filled tubes went right past them

Did you not watch the scene? There was a reason. They were wrong but that’s their job - act on experience and gut feeling. They are just human. You don’t seem to applaud these guys when they find real bad guys.

I think the life lesson of not doing something that is highly suspicious or illegal when you can be confronted about it eventually rings more true than that statement.

When they got that coke inside that metal piece, he said "the important thing it's that it's not getting on the streets". Well, he couldn't be more wrong. There will be always be other people ready to sell on those same streets. You're fighting a war you can never win, just give it up, and start using all those millions that you spend with all those customs in another way that would actually benefit the people.
