This is one of the master pieces of kebyar dances, composed by: Nyoman Maria, a dancer of genius from Tabanan in the 1930’s. It is said todesribe the love-making of two bees. Since the late mandera, on of the founder of peliatan, was on familiar terms with maria. Oleg peliatan is supposed to be very close to the original piece both in arrangement and in choreography. As the dance was to become very popular all over bali, every region or dancer varied the arrangement to make unique styl of their own, illustrating how in bali the arts develop through a process of imitation and reversion. The authenticity of the original arrangement is never concidered to be in jeoppardy by these imitation, rather is it regarded as healthy situation, and it is tought of as honor to be imitated
