I agree completely. I would recommend using only hardware wallets like you pointed out. No one should even consider online wallets, exchange wallets, or software wallets, its just bad practice because of how easily computers and servers can get hacked by malicious black hats.

possibly unrelated: on coinbase, i placed limit order which were filled at a good price only to find out the next day that they were in actuality NOT filled. is coinbase stealing customers orders????? i went to binance then heard rumors they suck. so kracken i guess will be next.

How do you take it out without fees?

You get your coins stolen by using the same password for all your sites and not using a 2 factor authentication program - SMS 2 factor is not safe - sim swapping is trivial to do. This holds true for every single exchange.

sim swap doesn't take over a damn email account. this is because they fell for the "Google verify code" scam on facebook market place. sim swap is used to get ahold of the google verify code. but its not done very regularly, because sim swapping requires access to the phone or else they risk a Duplicate EIM number on the cell network which the cell providers police heavily.

@@truckert9729 i think your referring to Number swapping. not sim swapping. number swapping is when a hacker is able to take your phone number and associate it with another Sim that they have. this occures because your POS cell provider didn't have a PIN number associated with your account, and a hacker was able to act like they owned the number and needed it changed to another phone. sorry, but MOST 99% of cell providers REQUIRE a Security PIN number or they require that you go to thier OFFICE or franchize to prove you are who you are with VALID ID. FACT is, they cannot get ahold of your Coinbase account without taking over your Email address or SMS messages. FACT is, if your an idiot enough to not NOTICE your accounts are being taken over, THEN YOU DESERVE WHAT YOU GET.

I wish i found your video sooner. I can guess but I don't know exactly what happened but my coinbase account was placed under manual review. I can't buy/sell or move my existing funds. The people you do talk to don't have the power to lock and unlock accounts. Only by email can you contact the compliance team where I have only received canned responses. Happened to me Saturday and all I get are emails stating that state the obvious.

I know you get a cold storage and use the special code but then thats where the info ends.

You are srsly one of the smartest financial channels there is. I like how it isn't in the beginner lvls and actually put up data as well.

I don't want to trade bitcoin. I need access to all coins.

Stolen also means that when you mistakenly transfer a coin on the wrong network address to Coinbase and they keep your coin. Because “it’s not compatible with Coinbase” that is really stealing. If I had a British pound and went to a US bank and deposited with all the paperwork and after I hand over my money the teller says by the way we don’t accept the British pound. Then why can’t I have it back? Teller would explain that they cannot reverse that transaction and then exchange my money into the dollar and use it to loan out to make more money. That’s how Coinbase really works.

My whole net worth was scammed by Coinbase, since their security is crap. I had just bought my hard wallet and was testing it for transfer. Only a few of my coins were transferred before I lost the ability to get in my CB account, when it finally resolved 2 months later, all of the rest of my coins were stolen. CB was totally unaware…

I've waited 10+ weeks for BinanceUS to approve my account. Other than COIN there's not really a US legal on ramp. Maybe Bitmex and end up in prison like the founders. Coinbase liquidity is great though. Compared to swapping on a DEX it's practically the CME.

coins are just as easily stolen from a wallet, usually much easier because regular people know 0 about the opsec need for keeping your keys safe

Agree. Anything that requires electricity to work is not entirely reliable. Especially for “money” as when you most likely need it for an emergency, there is a good chance that emergency includes a power outage. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You don't get how it works, your crypto are never on the Ledger. It just stores your private key that is needed to move your funds, and if your Ledger dies you can recover your private key because it is derived from a seed phrase that you are supposed to write down. So in the end what you have to put in your safe is a list of words on a paper, it's more convenient than physical gold or silver imo.

@@KASPA-KEY I love crypto but there is benifits to metals. Sure you have to go through that when buying but once you have the gold or silver it doesn't require electricity. Furthermore, if there was no power and some kind of crisis where martial law is declared and you needed to get out of country it's way easier to bribe people with gold coins than crypto. The upside to crypto is you can own it with nothing but your memory. If you were able to memorize your seed phrase you could travel with no money on you and then when you get to another country you would then be able to withdraw your money in that country using just the knowledge in your brain. With physical metals I'd argue it's a lot easier for someone to steal it, with crypto you have to willingly give up your seed phrase. Conclusion: for a crisis you should own both. The crypto allows you to have a store of wealth that you can access once you get to a place that has electricity and the physical metals give you access to something you can carry around with you and transact with without any internet or power.

Such a high degree of confidence for someone who doesn’t understand the value isn’t stored on the electronic hardware wallet. The wallet houses your private keys so they don’t touch another (potentially compromised) device. Obviously the actual assets are stored on their respective blockchains.

It’s an easy fix, if someone change their account password they shouldn’t be allowed to send those crypto to a wallet right away, it should be a 5 days period before they can do so. That would give the real account holder time to lock their account without any crypto or money stole from their account

customers losing money...bad customer service...stock goes up. These are the new metrics folks. 4th dimension investing

The main way is really through hacking of people's email accounts. Once that is compromised, it makes things very difficult for you.

Moving money out into a child wallet cost you a lot just ti move money.. gas fees and network fees make that not a very good way to trade crypto as the markets go up and down... unless they're is a way ti move money in and out your cold wallet back onto the exchange and or the exchange when you trade..???

If you invested at the ATH in 2018 in BTC, you would be up 2.5x right now. If you sold when the price crashed to 29k, you would still have made a 50% profit. It is getting tiring arguing about the benefits of investing into crypto. This is probably the best move to increase your wealth for an entire generation.

@@klank67 The intrinsic value of BTC is as a store of value. It has a capped supply, is fungible, operates on an open ledger (so we can all see what officials are spending it on for example) and all you need to use it is an internet connection, i.e. no need for a bank account. Tx fees are expensive af, but stuff like the lightning network will make txs faster, much cheaper and more secure. ETH and other smart contract cryptos will completely remove or reduce the need to even have banks because of decentralized finance and NFTs.

@@axnoro You don't really need to argue or explain. If they want to invest in physical stuff only, that's fine. Personally, I think the obsession over finding bitcoin's (or any other crypto's) actual value is dumb. It's value fluctuates up and down, and over longer time periods, there's a very definite trend upwards. Why wouldn't you take advantage of that? It's not like anyone's telling them to sink all their money into it. They could try buying some with 1% or even 0.5% of their savings, leave it alone for a year or two, and see what happens? If it goes down to zero exactly like they predicted, then they can be happy they didn't lose much and shove it in all our faces.

Is Swan exchange paying or rewarding you for PROMOTING them? Is ledger paying or rewarding you?
