Hey 'coin hunter' guy, I think you're officially hooked on coin collecting. When I was pretty young around 1972 me and a friend went to a Post office kiosk apart from a mall in a huge parking lot to use its dollar changer. We plugged in dollars and got the change and found normally at least 1/3 silver coins. Some buffalos, mercury dimes, walking liberty quarters and halves, and on occasion barber dimes and v nickles. We were crazy hooked, and repeated this over and over until- we literally BROKE the machine! I swear it's the truth, we'd put in a dollar and it spit the dollar back out and plunked out all the change! We doubled our money for three days. We hit the kid heavenly jackpot. I think we did that for a few days and found out they sent a technician to fix it. What a memory.

I started officially in 1993 (got my first Morgan Dollar, a 1902 P VAM-4 variety) when I was 8, though I was in love with my Dad's wheat-back collection when he first showed me around 2-3 years old. One way or another us coin people generally get hooked HARD lol.

In 1972 I would think silver would still be commonly found in circulation My only taste of silver comes from a trip to Vegas around 10 years ago. Back then (funny how I'd say that for 2010) there were still some slots that took half dollars. It was one casino on Fremont Street that stocked half dollars because they still had a few machines left that took coins. A couple friends took me there. Anyway, by getting rolls of coins we found a few 40% silver ones. And then over to the slot machines we deposited coins like 2 or 3 at a time and pressed the cash out button and the way those machines were set up, they would spit out different coins from the bottom of the stack (first in last out). Found a few more 40% coins that way, and we'd stay ahead of the game as long as we didn't actually play the slots! One of the rare times going into a casino with a house advantage, LOL A couple years later those machines went away eliminating that edge. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Great content, my question is, if you return these pennies back to the bank, do you make an order the same day you return these to ensure you dont get the same ones back? How long does the bank sit on pennies you return? Or do you do a giant batch of pennies once per month or so to ensure you dont get the same ones from last time or 5 times ago?

I just subscribed and wanted to thank you for sharing your finds. I am trying to make my first video, but need major help. How do you shoot down on your coins? Do you use a phone or camera? Do you use a tripod? How do you position your stuff in order to shoot your video. Thanks for helping a fellow coin collector.
