I read a post three years ago about a feeling of exestential dread or some other deep emotion people get when they hear 'heart shaped box' I didn't quite understand that until I heard this album, I have been fed static and overwhelming emotions from this, every time I have played the album, I have felt those emotions stronger than previous. I can not pin point a description for what this album has dine to my psyche, but it has moved me heavily into a positive direction after deep depression. So In understand what you mean.

There's never been a drummer more tailor made for a band than Josh is for Coheed. Dudes sound and technique is so unique and manages to stand out amongst 2 of the greatest guitarists of this generation. Best track on the album by far. Need a whole album of this late 90's early 00's type rock

After 13 years of loving this lot, I FINALLY got round to seeing them in Glasgow the other night. Felt privileged to be at such an intimate gig with one of the greats of my generation. Claudio's a master frontman, and this new record shows his source of ideas and melodies has not run dry. Long live C&C!

Its good but its not better then gutter, dark sentencer, love protocol, queen of the dark and maybe even pavilion. Its a amazing album all the way through

And yes I realize it was produced by them I am referring to the other albums possibly being restricted due to time constraints and certain songs the label would want left off. This gave them more of an opportunity to do things their way and it really shows.

@@anthonyjones3835 Let me emphasize "refined." Sstb was rather messy but in the best way imo. This, for me anyway, has polished influences from that album. I just hear it in the lyric placement and especially the guitar in the beginning. You probably dont hear it, though
