Coheed And Cambria | The Crowing | Live in Sydney

Музыка

Coheed And Cambria performing The Crowing live at Metro Theatre in Sydney on 20 April 2013
It would be hard to find a band with grander artistic scope than Coheed And Cambria. They continue to remain a unique beast, impossible to classify and are simply this generation's greatest musical storytellers.
Following five groundbreaking albums, the New York foursome are back and in no less dramatic fashion than is to be expected. The Afterman: Ascension and The Afterman: Descension is an ambitious double concept album that is being unleashed in two separate full-length volumes.

You may not like their flavor of rock, but you can't deny that Coheed and Cambria raised up to give the new generation of rockers some f*cking hope. when it's their original formation playing together, the show is so unassuming and grandiose at the same time, you barely have time to realize what just hit you. they're a wall of sound, much like the Smashing Pumpkins were in the 90's. it's good to have these guys around.

Overture 1928 100% agreed. I didn't really know what to think about SSTB other than the intro my first listen. Same with Ascension and Good Apollo pt 2 now. I highly recommend for the first few listens to of all Coheeds albums to use quality headphones and as loud as is comfortable.

This fucking band inspired me to pick up the guitar again at 14 years old that I had played for a month and set down. Good Apollo 1 changed my damn life. As a 14 year old kid who was raised on Zeppelin, Purple and The Beatles. Coheed gave me everything I never even knew I needed. Started just before Good Apollo I was released an I've never looked back.

💯 I was 13 when Second Stage Turbine Blade came out. First song I heard was Devil in Jersey City. I hated it. Then my cousin told me to listen again. So I did, and then I listened some more. Then listened to the rest of the album. It was so crazy to be listening to something that NOBODY my age was listening to. Nobody in school knew wtf this crazy sound was. Coheed led me to old rock and metal. Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath, and many others. I first started saying, “WOAH I thought this Iron Maiden stuff was just something that old dudes listened to while they worked at construction sites, but they kinda sound like Coheed!” Then I realized that it was Coheed who in fact sounded like THEM! Coheed opened up my understanding of classic and modern rock.

A coheed is just so dynamic, its energy levels never stop. A song can start one way and just end Gregorian chants, a dope guitar riff, a slap bass solo, power chords, screams, its just all over the place and I love it. The truly are playing a form of jazz.

I fed the clues of a lost day killed in motion But I thought of it so like there's no other way it could've been done Will they size my fit for a puzzle I wish not to play a part in it A heart stained in hate a feeling I fear will play circles But you, you were my favorite But you, you know, you were my favorite I severed my ties to shroud this body under the streets of this city And wait for the day when I am summoned to walk across this face Well slowly but clearer now in visions that play and plague memories I love them with all (heart) as a son should to mother and father But you, you were my favorite But you, you know, you were my favorite Would I walk through the door? Shedding the light of all life With the rise and reform Would I come as before? Pray you're not the only one Pray you're not the only If given mistakes would I take them back If erasing them could, if erasing them would What would they be the words that I say? Your face and the door between I've parted three ways for you the New one that I loved Did you ever really know before my face shame to break Did you ever really know before my mind to scared to think Did you ever really know before my name son to these Did you, did you, did you come clean in the end from the start Dear Ambelina, The Prise wishes you To watch over me oh Dear Ambelina, The Prise wishes you To watch over me oh I've fought the decisions that call and lost My part as the relevant piece in this I will come reformed In short for the murders of those I court I bless the hour that holds your fall I will kill you all I will call you out from shelter burn your wings you'll know better (I Will call you out, burn your wings) I will call you out from shelter burn your wings and learn their Letters (I will call you out, burn you wings) Dear Ambelina, The Prise wishes you To watch over me oh
