Coheed and Cambria - Feathers (Nervous Energies session)

Very pleased to have Coheed and Cambria perform a Nervous Energies session before their show in Birmingham, AL in May 2012. The band performed 3 amazing songs "Mother Superior", "Feathers", and "A Favor House Atlantic" inside a local shoe repair shop. Big thank you to Jimmy for letting us come in and film, you'll see him for a brief second or two during the sessions walk in the background. Jimmy kept the entire shop open and still running with customers getting their shoes shined while we filmed, doors open with cars driving by and people popping their head in. The customers loved it. They kinda have one, the big beige, with a ton of acoustic demos from “The Afterman” that has some bonus acoustic tracks not in the original

This song got me into Coheed when I was in middle school. These guys are the best. :)
Josh's harmonizing on the "I'm in love" lines.
Of course Claudio is amazing and Josh harmonizes very well with him. But I never find people talking about how great Travis' vocals are. This performance is a perfect example of that. So much talent in one band. I'm glad I'm alive at the same time as them!

Actually, making the second voice, for me, it's harder than the first by instinct your voice will just take the high note to reach the first voice I have to focus, so i can't get out of tune in the second voice by trying to reach the first And that's why i live Travis

Generally I'm not a huge fan of acoustic versions of songs, but Coheed's are always good

Josh is such an amazing human being. Never seen anyone play the tambourine with that much passion. Not to mention his harmonies.
Coheed and Cambria, the hardest rocking hipsters in the land. My god they sound good.
I love how you can interpret these songs however you want to regardless of the comic books
I can't stress how much I love those backup vox in the chorus. Hnng.

Just discovered them recently as well. They are simply transcendent.
If I didn't know who Josh was you could convince me he's a Coheed mega-fan who the band is letting play a song with them, and having the time of his life.
Love Prize Fighter, and can't wait to hear the new stuff Claudio's cooked up. Coheed as a whole, though, is just so damn good acoustic. Like these sessions. Just them with minimal instrumentation is magic.

I agree. I watched the show the other night that they streamed from Webster Hall. Zach was awesome. The sound guy had his bass just a little louder than Claudio and Travis's guitars for a few songs so it brought him to the forefront. And he sounded great.
It has Cuts Marked, The Crowing, Blood Red Summer, Faint of hearts, Al the killer, AFHA, Light and the glass. Then a few rarities/covers.
Look up Amory Wars - This song is apart of the soundtrack for it. Claudio wrote the entire story for Amory Wars, any fan needs to see this.
