► There's a 3-hour extended version of this track here: • Cognition Enhancer Ext... .
HEADPHONES REQUIRED - Note: As this session stimulates each ear with different frequencies, you will need to use headphones to experience the full effect.
Alternative background sounds available on MP3 on the above page: Orchestral, Hybrid, World Music, Rain, Brown Noise.
What does this track do?
This session stimulates Beta, SMR and Alpha, alternating in 2-minute increments to help keep the user relaxed and engaged.
Note: SMR (sensorimotor rhythm) relates to the frequency range between 12 - 15Hz. It's associated with sensory processing and motor control. Stimulating this can result in relaxed focus and improved attention.
This session speeds up the brain while keeping the left hemisphere dominant (good for attention, concentration, reducing emotional response and hyperactivity). ADD and similar disorders are often characterized by "slow-wave" EEG patterns, particularly in the left frontal region. This session stimulates the left brain hemisphere with Beta frequencies and the right with SMR.
Can it be used to help with studying?
Yes and if you read through the many comments about this track, you'll see that many people have successfully used it for studying.
You can either listen to it while you are studying, to get your brain into a good mental state when you need it. Or if you are someone that gets a bit distracted by music while studying, listen to it just before you begin.
How Loud Should The Volume Be?
Set the volume at a level you feel comfortable with. It should be loud enough to hear the isochronic tones, but not so loud that it's uncomfortable for you. Somewhere in the middle is my recommendation.
How To Use This?
Use this session in the morning or afternoon, to train your brain for better cognition, such as clearer and faster thinking. You can either sit somewhere quiet and comfortable with your eyes closed and give your brain a nice workout, or you can also listen to this while doing an activity that requires a boost in concentration, like studying.
How long should you listen for to get a good effect?
It takes around 5 minutes for your brainwaves to fall in step with the tones and become entrained. It then takes time to be guided along the frequency range used in the track. Listening to about half way through is the minimum in my opinion, but 30 minutes is the optimum length to listen for.

+Jamie Burnham - No, you shouldn't use this while you sleep or too close to bedtime. It stimulates your brain waves to a higher, more alert and focused state, which will likely disrupt your sleep if you listen to it during the night. During the daytime and early evening is best.

There is something magnificent that happens to my mind within the first 5 seconds of this track starting. The remaining 30 minutes lead to uncompromised focus and cognitive function.

For anyone wondering, yes this does work. The way it works is it tunes your brain waves from whatever state its in to mimic the waves of these beats. Your brain attunes to this frequency. Its great to use while studying although meditating before studying can make it more effective (so before and during studying would be a great combination) - its scientifically proven to work BEST while one is asleep. If ya wanna learn more look up "how to reprogram your mind" and these binuaral beats (frequencies) will be one of the most effective ways to change your mind and induce whichever state youre seeking to achieve; mental enhancement, calmness, anxiety reduction etc.

Hi Derp, stimulating your brainwaves with isochronic tones will increase the blood flow in your brain, which is normally a good thing. As with most things though, there's usually a point where overdoing something that's normally good, might cause an undesired effect. With the increased blood flow, if you over do it this might result in a headache. If you do start experiencing a headache, stop for a day or two and make sure you are fully hydrated next time you listen.. Jason

Greg Wisniewski Hi Greg, I agree with what you said about drinking too much water. If you read what I've said again though, I'm recommending not overdoing things. I didn't advise drinking a lot of water or over hydrating. I was trying to get across that if someone experiences a headache after listening (which most people don't), it may be because they were dehydrated when they listened to it. So make sure they are not dehydrated next time they listen. Jason

As someone that has Asperger's syndrome, and thus has ADHD and sensory processing problems, I thank you for the music you've made for us to use. It has very discreetly, but also somehow drastically changed my studying sessions for the better. Sitting for hours studying on my own can get to a point where it's legitimately physically painful for me to be still for such a long time. This gives my brain a "grounding" or kinda like a hand-holding effect, where I have something I can base my background thoughts on while I'm studying on my work. It really keeps my whole brain in check, so I thank you for that. I adore learning, but my inability to focus because of my racing thoughts and anxieties that come with studying gets really hindering. Your music really helps alleviate most of that, and finally lets me enjoy what I have to do in terms of schoolwork. So thank you! I hope you keep seeing success in what you do here! :D

***** - Honestly, I don't really know why I get an older audience on my channel, compared to other parts of KZread. I do think we are more likely to look for alternative solutions as we get older, because we've already tried many of the traditional methods and want to try something different. I'm 45, so perhaps I give off a demeanour which attracts people nearer to my age and beyond, although my sons aged 12 and 13 help to keep my mind young. I have attracted a lot of younger students in the last year, who use some of my videos to help with their studies, particularly this video and a few others. I'm very grateful and welcome everyone who listens, whatever their age, and continually amazed at how nice and polite the vast majority of the comments I get are.

I have an idea. It might be because of what you already said, along with the lack of mind-expanding experience/interest as younger audiences tend. I'm 20 years old and found this because a friend just referred me to this. Surprisingly, I've had a more innate interest to this form of music, never knowing why, nor what to call it.

+dogra vaibhav - It isn't really a normal reaction to feel sleepy after listening to this, but it isn't anything to worry about either. This does have some Alpha frequencies during part of this track, to help create a relaxed focus state. It may be that you were already a bit tired before listening and the Alpha waves relaxed you a little bit more. Did you have your eyes closed while listening, or were you maybe laying down or reclining in your chair a bit? It's best to listen to this in a more upright position, with your eyes open and either during or just before an activity you want to focus on.

You cannot expect to sit here, listen to this, and then expect that simply sitting here and listening to something will be the magic ingredient to checking things off the to-do list. What you need to do is press play, then determine yourself to get things done, then start doing them. This actually helped me focus better, but only after I began working. A lot of it is simply psychological, BUT… whatever helps us get things done efficiently and effectively, do it! :)

We normally always have background music to keep the day going. Recently, I decided to experiment with these types of tracks that allow for deep concentration. I've recorded higher test scores & lower amount of re-takes simply by playing music like this during test taking time. I've even found myself being more focused while listening to tracks like this one. It's no wonder that when people stop playing Lil Wayne & Taylor Swift all day that we can actually get things done. I've always believed that music helps the mind and it's many states. Even though I wasn't able to use the headphones as required I still noticed a difference in results almost immediately. SCIENCE!!!!

Hi Kim, you can usually get some benefit the first time you listen, as it will help guide your brainwaves to a good mental state for focus and relaxed thinking. You don't usually need to listen for days for it to work.

But listenning to this music, while reading, I felt alert,no attention span, like I was reading 3 times faster than I used to previously . My brain felt like a sponge hungry for information. Wow! Hey Jason Lewis, I've been cramming for the AP Chemistry exam for yesterday and the day before. The Exam was today, and I think I aced it tbh. I went from getting like 13/50 on the practice tests in the Practice Book I was using too like 35/50 (which is good for AP test). I just want to say thanks for making this type of music. It made me focused, was not distracting in the least(I have a 6 siblings and they are all loud and inconsiderate). Not onlt did it make me focus and absorb a whole year of forgotten concepts into 2 days, but yesterday night I couldn't sleep. So I found that you had a music for sleeping to! I went downstairs, put the headphones on, and was asleep in 5 minutes. THANK YOUUUUUUUU I'll update you if I passed scores come out in a month or so.

I wish you well Yvonne. Spiritual gifts, prayer, universal blessings, help of strangers, the ability to push through in your tears, and to remain calm in the valley of your darkest fears. Stay above your baser emotions, and focus your path to the inner you. I hope you have the strength to keep the shovel and pick daily, because you have much dirt to excavate. I also would like to say that religion is not in your way... I used to believe religion were making the worst of humans. Soft, scared, lazy and praying to some invisible sky daddy, but the other part of religion is God may be invisible, and may not even exist. Okay then, but then explain how history is a testament of actual bad people and actual good people and weather or not the stories are true or not in the bible...let's say they aren't...why do they explain the majority of all human psychies and further more spirits. Took me a long time that the bible is unique in that it not only wants you to see and learn the signs of mal intent in people, but also of spirits. See when you always see the world for how evil or good it is...awareness allows yourself to become more clear in the mirror and what better relationship with God, than realizing, he wasn't focusing on how to serve him, but he's loving you to not believe the dirt people heaped upon you is who you are. He wants you to mature and wipe your face and really take a good look at your health, decisions, finances, choices in friends, your physical face. Assess level of intelligence, mobility, cognitive function and personality. You can improve and the beauty is your imagination is the currency of your best self. You can not buy every thing in the physical world, bu those treasures stored up in heaven is your imagination. You can always imagine doing more good and bad...Use your imagination like a hologram stage. Practice goodness and intentions in the safe confines of your mind. This will protect you from ultimate misery. These techniques have freed me when even my closest friends betrayed me and my family wasn't so good either, but then I discovered, the limit at where people practice cruelty is the line where they are scared. So, be maximum brave, because the more brave you are, the more good you can do in yourself and you need not do anything for others. Let your example be a delight for others to be in the presence in. Your story really did good and I hope I returned in kind. Good luck my sister and walk the earth sword sheathed in silence, looking for opportunities to help and save....but get to the spiritual gym first and learn personalities of the spirit. You will truly know where on the spectrum you reside, but don't shy away when you discover theirs a bit of a monster in you. Use that monster to scare away the punks so that you may have the peace on command, not always... but on command. Peace isn't given to us nor a goal. It's the ability to command it on a whim

I have always loved electronic music! I first heard it years ago [I think it was in the early 80's when an electronic version of a Christmas song came out. In the mid 90's I discovered Binaural beats and brain entrainment. I was diagnosed with adult ADD, after living 50 years untreated! However I was naturally attracted/drawn into certain frequencies, certain tones, such as I love "windchimes""waves crashing on a shore" "light cricket sounds" I've always had a windchime outside, opening my windows in the fall an spring. Just the same some tones are bothersome to me, some repetition annoys me (such as in regular music, a chorus repeated over and over, I can't stand it) yet other repetitious [no words] just tones/frequencies is almost like I am like addicted to listening. Frequencies and tones that bug me, come from "hard rock" music, I just can't listen to it, it's like nails on a chalkboard. When I was a Child, and into my teens, I would walk into certain stores [usually gas stations/convenience stores] and I would hear a very HIGH PITCHED screeching sound! Most didn't hear it. I did, I would have to get out of there lol I later learned that the sound came from the ballast [fluorescent light] as we get older, we lose the ability to hear certain tones and frequencies. Young kids/teens can hear very high pitched sounds, where myself now in my 50's can't. But when I was a kid I sure could! Its hard to explain, its just so pleasant to hear, and it does keep me focused. I have listened to binurals while wearing headphones and going about my day while at home. It seems like it would be a distraction to getting housework and such accomplished but it in fact kept me focused on each task at hand, without jumping around from task to task like I normally would have ADD and a very short attention span. These do in fact work, for some issues. Neuroscience has come a very long way, advancing quickly daily. The brain can be changed [rewired] without medication with just sound, its a fact. Sound effects all living things, not just people, but animals, I use a sleep meditation to quiet whining puppies [Works Great!!] it works on me too! lol Plants also react to sound vibration. A really good frequency to listen to is 444 Hz I discovered. Keep on keeping on with your entrainment, especially isometric tones, they are awesome, at least for me! Yours are some of the better ones I have heard in a very long time. Really helps my attention, focus, keep my thought pattern in a much better alignment, my mind doesn't wander out in 20 different directions. Others have wanted to know what having ADHD/ADD is like, I tell them it can be likened to standing in front of 20 TV'S all on different programs and trying to pay attention to each one at the same time!! Thanks for your Videos I will be purchasing some of these Iso tracks for focus, your prices are Very Reasonable! . The first set of binaural beats I bought in the 90's when it was newish, was on cassette tapes, I bought a 10 cassettes package for $600.00! But then again, the equipment we have today wasn't around! I'm grateful its accessabe to all who need it and can benifit from it.

Hi Elias, I have set the isochronic tones quite low on this track to help it blend better with the music, to make it more appealing to a wider audience. If you listen with headphones on you will notice the tones are clearly audible. On some equipment with small speakers like laptops, the tones are less audible. If you're listening on a laptop or similar portable device, it's always worth using headphones or external speakers if possible. On my site, I also have this track without any music, just the tones, which will give the strongest effect. www.mindamend.com/intelligence-and-brain-power/cognition-enhancer-isochronic-tones Jason (P.S. it looks like you've disabled replies to your comment(s) in your KZread settings, so I couldn't reply to your comment directly)

@@Awakened_1111 K do some research. It CAN cause ADHD, but to a LESSER extent. So, really, it's not actual ADHD. ADHD is passed on through genetics, and causes the brain to develop in a different way, allowing it to be smarter than normal. The thing is, with all that information that is processing at once, the brain finds it hard to keep track of everything, and tends to only focus on one thing. High amounts of Aluminum while the baby's brain is developing would cause the brain to form in a different way, but only work at a slower rate than normal. Symptoms of heavy metal toxicity are also: Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, Heart amorality such as cardiomyopathy or dysrhythmia, nervous system issues (numbness, tingling in hands and feet, weakness), Anemia, kidney damage, liver damage, lung irritation or fluid buildup (edema), brain disfunction such as memory loss, horizontal lines on nails, changes in behavior, or malformed bones in children or weakened bones. So, in lamymons terms, your wrong. I have actual ADHD not Aluminum Toxicity.

me too. I was very sceptical. I am impossible to hypnotise for example and I have psychiatric variousness . I get hypomania not in my body but in my mind. I call it racing brain. It's weird though because I get nothing done, I get really behind in my job, my housework, I sit all day trying to grasp a thought long enough to keep it - I have pretty amazing thoughts mind you. I just found this music a few days ago and even with racing brain I was able to work - grading essays and writing really great feedback if I might say. Could it be placebo? Hmm....I'm not hypnotizable. This could radically increase my productivity, make me much more efficient, so when I do have racing brain hopefully I'm caught up and on top and enjoy my thoughts. I'm very excited (obviously racing...). Thank-you...

I use these audio sessions while I study and compose. Out of hundreds of ear-bud/headphone sessions available, I have found this one to be particularly engaging. I especially like the use of sound exchanges between left speaker and right speaker. The continual underlying throbbing prepares my mental space for a journey; it makes my head swirly when the helicopter sound starts. Then there is a triplet feeling of triads in augmentation that lead me down the rabbit hole; there is where my creativity is found-it is there I find peace and productivity-an inspiration to design, from the enveloping sounds. Thank you for the upload! I challenge you to outdo yourself-gives us another, chap! Cheers!!

+jeffrey baer - The effects will usually last for a little while afterwards, but it depends largely on what you do after you've finished listening. As an example, if you get yourself into a good state of focus using this while studying, but then afterwards you sit and relax somewhere and take a break, if you then returned to studying later you wouldn't be as focused as you were before, because the relaxation break reduced your beta brainwave activity.

Yo Sushi I don't know for sure, as I'm not aware of any formal studies involving brainwave entrainment and playing poker or similar card games. However, this could work well for that type of activity, because it increases beta brainwave activity which is good for concentration and focus, and alpha which can help to relax you, which may prove useful when in a stressful game situation.
