Coffs Harbour Winter Fishing, Bonville Creek, Jew, Flathead, Tailor.

Спорт

Kayak fishing Bonville creek using soft plastics and live mullet.
Who doesn't like catching flathead? Great fun with live poddy mullet, plastics or hard body lures on the shallow sand flats or the deeper hole drop offs around the flats.
Flathead are easy to catch on most methods, great target species if you are new to soft plastic fishing.
Just remember to release the big ones, 70cm and above, as they are the breeding females and very important in the future of flathead fishing. Thanks, like subscribe (:

I’m thinking about moving up to Coffs, looks like a good spot to wet a line, and that flattie was a beauty! Hope it made a good dinner!

It has its days, can be hit and miss but lots of areas to explore keeps it interesting.

November last yr, a mate n i went for a flick up boambee creek (entered at boat ramp) using some double clutches (pink one, n ghost shad). Got couple of flatties to take home, n one to throw back.. nice 75cm. Though wont be walkin there again... trod on like 5 rays in an hr.

Yeah lots of good flattys up Boambee, gotta watch standing on those rays, the barb on the tail can cut you up pretty good.

Hi Wayne, might have to dust off my offshore gear and get out there. Been awhile since I've had an ocean paddle. Might see you out off Arrawarra soon.

Easy access at the public boat ramp or you can launch up near the beach just before the headland.

live bait for sport is so cruel. i understand if you are feeding your family, but for sport? how can you justify that morally?
