I was alone and at the lowest point in my life. My friends all had big problems of their own and I had a small support network but he turned them against me in the end. You’re right about them choosing people who have no friends or few friends. Mine came along extending his hand as if he were a friend and not the devil himself! I have always been really perceptive and insightful as well. Even when he took me to the point of losing the will to live and I knew I had to get away from him despite being addicted to him, he still expected me to support him and acted like I was the mean bully for not??

I have access to trauma informed counsellors and therapists when I need support, which is kinda better than friends in a way since most people I know aren’t very emotionally intelligent and didn’t say anything helpful at all and actually invalidated my situation more. I had to do a massive cull of supposed friends after that experience and am super careful who I let in now. I just broke up with another man displaying coercive control behaviour two months ago!

People come into ur life and if they can manipulate you to get what they want out of you or if they can't get what they want out of you they immediately discard you as if you mean nothing to them in the first place...there's to many narcissists, sociopaths, psychopaths and narcissistic people in todays society....

25:35 Mine stalked not just me, but apartment managers. They sent a stalker to live at the same place I fled to, after they abused me thru that apartment manager. The second one, whom I clicked with and had started taking daily walks with, didn't want to get involved in the stuff that was happening to me, but she was kind enough to let me know she had been inappropriately contacted and told nasty things about me. EVIL.

Wow, this all sounds like the tenants of witchcraft, especially #4 as the late Derek Prince put it. Manipulation, intimidation, and domination. Great video, Louisa! ❤️

You explained why my narc was so anxious to get cozy with the clergy at my church. It was almost comical and I couldn’t figure out why until this video. He was feted in his own church and ridiculed mine. He didn’t have enough contact to be a wedge but he was trying. He moved me 1,000 miles from my activities and support network to a wasteland. He couldn’t control me so he discarded me.

Good stuff. Cool that you gave fair warning at the top for folks who may find it too much. Seems after I was bitten (and realized it 7 years ago) my eyes became wide open to these tactics. Hard to ignore. Grateful it happened. Allowed me to trust myself again. Close doors, and open new ones. You have a calm and clear delivery. Yes.. funny too. I have heard alot of things that is unhealthy from manipulative people as well. Such as you say you love, God yet you wont do this for people because you really don't love people. Or you won't do this so you dont love God. When your not the type to even get into being around alot of people they will say such things as well. You are right they do use their words to try to manage you to manipulate you. I have gone through this in the state of Texas by random people coming at me and even something like this as well from people on social media. The most toxic thing I have heard is someone's manipulate opinion about dealing with certain people talking about that is judging a person. Well to be honest about my very own choice to be wise of certain connections, and people you interact with is very important. Some people do that so they can listen to other people's conversations and then try to manage those relationships and connections. A controlling person or people want to manage your life in a way that they can use the people you talk with to try to manage and control you. That also is very toxic as well. Manipulate people do develop an attachment as well to try to manage another person's life as well.

It’s not wrong to judge behaviour from others which harms you. We judge food all the time to make sure it won’t cause us to get sick and how much more important is a dangerous relationship? Protecting yourself from harm is not wrong. Christians are also called to expose the works of darkness in Ephesians 5: 11. Of course people trying to get away with dark deeds will manipulate others into hiding their secrets. It’s how they control others.

My toxic family have been behind doing this very thing. I also left a relationship where they all operated this way. Im moving away from my daughter as well I had a dream I believe it was from above telling me to move away from my daughter and to trust my path. More importantly I havent shared this with no one because I was sick of certain people using Christianity as a tool to manipulate which is spiritual abuse but I was told not to give up and i will find a healthy church group of friends imperfect people not acting from a nature of self righteousness and more uet leaving and moving away from family even my children would do me some good. Im hear to tell you these people have destroyed so much trying to use control, lies and gaslighting as well. I had a nice church group I liked in Colorado Springs very nice people a brother in the church told me nothing but the truth which was their is nothing I could do about these people but to walk away. Im in agreement with that and I have no attachment to these people by far. Yet they will try to interact with people I talk to trying to be the tie that binds friendship and everything. They want to ve the people who they want others to see who is their. I don't need these people and their actions have been toxic. More so to say you are jealous of a friendship and a connection with other people that does not involve you yet try to manipulate and destroy or isolate a person is also demonic as well. I have a pure heart I take no prisoner and try to force myself into someone's life neither will I harm, mistreat someone who does not want to be in my life. My peace when it comes to the absence of individual is more important. Full time devil's always try to appear as angels in disguise anyways.

If your daughter is an adult, then she’s responsible for her decisions and sometimes the only thing you can do is make some distance. Sometimes with family, staying in close range gives them someone to blame, which stops them from fixing their lives. They’ve got your number if they want to talk, but a fresh start is sometimes what we need more than family.

I left my entire family early on at 17 I was the scapegoat for everything. My mom was down with anxiety and panic attacks and anorexia and the whole family assumed I would waste my life away taking care of her because none of them would. The guiltripping and manipulation was heavy about me abandoning my mom etc. Nothing about how my childhood was just suffering trauma after trauma. I didn't talk to my mom for 10 years. We reconnected and she had done therapy and we had both found our faith in God etc. She is now closest to me than ever in my life and we are both proud if eachother and I see how the toxic family cycles started with her and how her health issues manifested from her own trauma. If God tells you to leave then it's best to stay away and trust that the people you're leaving will also find their own path etc.

The word “manipulate” has a broader meaning beyond selfish and exploitative behaviour (for example making pottery by manipulating clay). But in this context I am specifically referring to manipulation as a means of exploiting others for selfish gain.
