Lyrics:
No I'm not goin' crazy, but lately my head and my heart
Seem to be at least a million miles apart
My heart says to love ya
My head says to run
It's like my heart is to afraid to tell my head when it's done
I know that it can never be the way it was
Even though you'll be the death of me I can't give you up
Too much is not enough;
it's not the love, it's not the lust that grips me
It must be the whiskey
I've been drinkin' to remember and drinkin' to forget
I got "I love you" on my mind, I got Jim Beam on my breath
And loneliness has got the rest, I've got nothin' left within me
It must be the whiskey
No I'm not goin' crazy, but lately these thoughts in my head
Are a whirlwind of a world of a million regrets
All the things I should've done, all the things I should've said
All the pain that comes with hatin' the mess you've made of yourself
I know I'm chasin' rainbows thinkin' I could make it work
But the fact is that my actions speak louder than my words
And it only makes it worse thinkin' of her, thinkin' she'll forgive me
It must be the whiskey
I've been drinkin' to remember and drinkin' to forget
I got "I love you" on my mind, I got Jim Beam on my breath
And loneliness has got the rest, I've got nothin' left within me
It must be the whiskey
I've been drinkin' to remember and drinkin' to forget
I got "I love you" on my mind, I got Jim Beam on my breath
And loneliness has got the rest, I've got nothin' left within me
Sometimes it hits me whenever I'm a little tipsy
Oh, it hits me whenever I'm a little tipsy
It must be the whiskey
It must be the whiskey
It must be the whiskey
It's that whiskey
It must be the whiskey

You can tell Cody put a lot of thought into this album. The writing is at a entire new level I didn't knew existed! He knows how to write songs that people can relate to easily. I love that he did so much work with other artists like Josh Morningstar and so many others... 2018/2019 is the season for the Jinks! He's done everything off the skin of his back for 20 years it's about time a record label has picked him out and is allowing him to keep being him. AND he is part of the biggest family of artist that strive to pick each other up NOT knock them down.. He is a class act!

Love from England, I've listened to your sounds that much my head is rotating and my eyes are flipping. Really get me in the feels. My folks always played country music in the 70s and 80s when I was growing up. Great to be back ❤

So glad for this album made me leave a self sabotaging ex that ran around, lied and and brought the wrong stuff around. Should of known when we saw him and Clint Black in person and he talked all the way through the show , should have been a dead give away.

Catchy tune. I'm a rocker and probably more into progressive than anything else. My favorite country tunes are Buck Owens - "Cigarettes Whiskey And Wild Wild Women," The Rolling Stones "the Girl with Far Away Eyes," and "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" version by George Thorogood even though Amos Milburn wrote it in the 50's.
