Code With me Using Python to Build an Expense Tracker App
Hi friends! In this video we are going to be automating our financial lives with Python by building a simple expense tracking app. This is a great project whether you are new to Python or have some coding experience and want to create a practical, useful application.
The purpose of this expense tracker is to help you easily log and categorize your expenses, giving you better visibility into your spending habits. You'll learn how to take in user input, store and manipulate data, and display helpful expense breakdowns and summaries.
Even if you are an experienced developer, this project is a fun way to practice your Python skills while creating a tool that can help you better manage your personal finances. I hope you enjoy building this app along with me!

Next step would definitely have to be some form of storage as this loses your data when you close the program.

it was great to see such a short tutorial with such stuff,, idk how you going through videos, learning or just sharing,, but if you just keep or mention some permanent tag in your every video which leads to know,, which software or ide you using for your stuffs,, so it will be helpful for new comers.

Hi Tiffany, I sm learning python, sql...My main issue is that i feel drowsy thr second i start learning but i have no issue waching KZread videos of what i am interested in. I just feel exhausted the moment i start learning. Any advice? Just push through?
How to pick what tools to use and how to interconnect them to get the code working? I am a neophyte, and I sometimes don't even know where to start? Any advice for me😭😭
How about a simple CRUD web app to accomplish this with some sort of front end to visualize the data you're trying to represent as well as have persistent storage? Id recommend flask.
Would be interesting to implement a voice assistant such as ok google to interact with the app while on the go.
I have some ideas! Maybe a Phase II could use a lightweight, free database to get some SQL in, or maybe add a module to actually log into an account and get some data? Too crazy?

@@TiffInTech well I’m not sure actually 🤔 back in 2014 I had a car crash and suffered a severe diffuse axonal brain injury, coma for 4 months hospital for 10. So I’m not as physically able as I used to be so I can’t do what I did. So I’m interested in more software side, like coding, but it’s harder to learn with a brain injury. So I’m still trying to see what I fancy, although I love home automation and home assistant. Although I haven’t got my own house yet so I can only go so far with it. I’d love to create an iOS app but there’s so much to learn and I’m doing so much to recover, so everytime I think of an idea I find before I can do anything about it it’s already been done 🤣 so I’m not sure what I’d like to do, but I love your channel!
