Code of Honor - 2019 - The Runhappy Travers Stakes

Спорт

Trainer Shug McGaughey won his first Travers in 21 years and joined a select group of Hall of Fame conditioners with his fourth “Mid-Summer Derby” triumph when #CodeofHonor made a strong move to the outside around the final turn and picked off six rivals en route to a three-length victory in the 150th renewal of the Grade 1, $1.25 million #Runhappy #Travers at #Saratoga Race Course.

Another side note- good to see Shug get a major win again. An honorable horseman who’d never cry foul to get a win in a Grade 1. Remember seeing Shug at Belmont Park throughout the 90s; always felt he prepped his horses right. Aging I’m sure he doesn’t get the horses he once did but nice to see him get at least one more. Congratulations Shug.

Johnny V. does not get the favorites to ride much anymore, that goes to Ortiz's and Castellano, but he still brings them in. He had winners Sat. of $22.80, $16.60, and $10.80 in Travers. He is still the best!!

Cheers for this, I been tryin to find out about "what does the rating mean in horse racing?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Peyarper Subjective Primacy - (search on google ) ? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for discovering how to get a profitable betting system minus the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate got excellent success with it.

It might also be true that if COH and MS were to match race that MS would likely win. However if the vote for top 3 yr were held today COH would win. MS would have to beat older horses this fall in order to take the championship away from him.

Typical set up race. Not sure Baffert wanted Tálamo on the lead. Tacitus’s jock way too aggressive going after Mucho Gusto way too early on the far turn Both had nothing left to turn anybody back in the stretch. Code of Honor happened to be the one to inherit the win. But that’s racing. Not sure you’ll see Code of Honor win again anytime soon seeing how some of your better horses didn’t run in this today. On a side note Tacitus IS trained by Bill Mott. They did get second which for Bill Mott is just like getting a win so I’m sure he’s happy. Surprised he didn’t cry foul again.
