The entire game is nostalgia bait mixed in with warzone maps and mechanics because they aren’t allowed to do actual good campaign sequences anymore. Anyone that says COD relies on campaign anymore is a braindead take. Their Warzone is their golden goose and and they’re not giving an inch back to the Singleplayer base from now on.

Setting off the nuke, killing hundreds at the airport, killing a bunch of player characters and starting World War three leading to countless deaths and the destruction of Europe and the Eastern Seaboard of the United States? 12:40 "cod has made a lot of their missions into multiplayer maps." retrofitting a campaign location into a map is both efficient and really cool for the people who play the campaign. literally copy and pasting multiplayer maps from the PREVIOUS GAME and filling them with bots is just embarrassing. They tested this out in the co-op missions in the first MW reboot, and doubled down in the co-op stuff for MW2, and we let them get away with it without even considering that we were actually just beta testing the future of CoD campaigns.

Now it's so obvious it's a copy paste of Warzone and DMZ. And even the missions that are more linear are either extremely short or are build from a Warzone area

No Russian was an interesting idea here. Great set up, but I think the part where you have to get the phone is where they messed it up. They should've forced you to go further for it, stretch out the mission, and give the gun actual bullets just to force you to shoot the civilians. That's a fascinating moral quandary but instead it just resulted in punching some people and blowing up with little to no actual player actions.

You *can* muscle them if you yank like hell, or have two people really pull. Problem is, the release is to ... open... not shut the door to the silo. To shut the silo doors, the emergency release is big honkin flashing button behind some glass or plastic paneling that you open or break, then just press and hold down the button. These days those process are automated but too anyhow...

39:20 I assume why the flashbang and gunshots didn't shake up the passengers is because the people who took her down where the air marshals which probably assured the passengers that everything is under control. However opening the plane door yea idk about that one. Maybe cause they were at 8k feet which at that altitude should be safe opening but idk why the passengers where just oh ok cool.

39:08 so the flashbang exploded in the section closer to the planes nose. When you were dragged out by Makarov's people you can see that for whatever reason every single person in that section magically died or fell into a deep coma (since they were not moving and had to be placed in their seats by the hijackers). Of course flashbangs are loud as fuck and create a bright light (hence the name) so it made absolutely no sense that people from the second section didn't know what's going on DESPITE the bright flash from behind the cloth (which would absolutely be visible and probably blind someone), loud ass bang and the depressurization. Just ignore the facts bro, game is perfect, just ignore the facts

@39:35 One of the men informed Makarov they were below 8,000 feet. They had already taken out the pilots and crew, and were already rapidly descending. So at that altitude, cabin doors opening and depressurizing isn't really an issue.

I get why Samara went after the phone to try and disarm the vest, but at the same time, isn't Makarov supposed to be some evil genius determined to get a war going? Wouldn't it make more sense that the phone is a red herring, either activating the vest prematurely or being a bomb itself? Wouldn't the smart but brutal answer be to throw your self out of the plane, leaving a lot more room for people to point out that something was up because A) the supposed terrorist either blew up outside of the plane, or B) the plane blew up even though a person wearing a vest they were restrained in was found in some random area

Either the people who did the subtitles messed up and put the wrong year or the voice actor fucked up the line or was given the wrong script/line. Everyone else sounded decent to good.
