I miss you so much. I wish we could of discovered this song together in our 20 years of marriage. I know you would of loved it. God has you now. We will meet again my love. I love you.

@Steve Barker I actually dont really prefer Bjorks voice over Elizabeths Fraziers. I just find myself saying "Woah" a lot more with Bjork. Especially in her early years, I think it is clear then that she had more range and control, after that not so much as she blew herself out. Saying she was "way better" was a bad choice of words I think. I dont think many people are "way better" than either of them.

Fan since high school 1982 now 2023 at age 57 still a favorite.
Love Elizabeth Fraser full stop. What really gets me is the cheeky face shrug at the end that says "nothing to it, that wasn't so bad"
Its crazy to think about the fact that eventually so much time will pass on this earth that this song and this band will be completely forgotten, as if it never existed. Everything has a kind of fading existence in the memory of the generations that keep coming, like a fire slowly dying, making the personal things that we like very limited in time and for a limited number of people. I just think I'm lucky enough to be one of these people and be in the very small range of time where this exists.

Some deep thoughts there but not sure bout that tho, but we used to have only cave paintings and books to store our history, not clouds, 1tb memory cards, superhuge servers etc, it cant disappear, all the phones and computers would have to burn down at once, not to mention near future ways to store information. Besides i dont like old music from 20's and 30's like u imply only because the record quality is awful. The way i see it only up to 50 year old music from this comment is reasonable quality. This track is good enough quality and can be remastered in the future and shit. Its just that with virtual reality etc entertainment coming in, music might no longer be considered worth listening, collecting buying etc but i doubt it becsuse music, especially like this is emotion evoking basic human thing, been around for thousands of years, we can only record it for a century or so

First Cocteau Twins song I ever heard. I nearly flipped to the next song when Frasers lyrics started, thinking what the hell is this kind of singing - but I didn't, and then the layered melodies and vocals kicked in, immediately transforming it into one of the most beautiful songs I'd ever heard, with some of the most out of this world vocal ability from Fraser... and I nearly skipped over it. Been a fan ever since.

Being 16, at night on a beach in Aden gulf, a place where billions stars shine like the whole sky is enlightened, full moon glowing like daylight, and " blue tears ( bioluminescent phytoplancton) streching in the foam of the waves, and Cocteau Twins tape playing . Amazing, wonderful keepsake 💖
It wasn't mainstream back then but neither was I. Thank you Couteau Twins.
The voice of an angel, the music that gives emotions, the guitar that makes you dream ... Thanks for all this !!
Unique, truly unique, the cocteu twins are up there with Bowie for ground breaking musical art.

@@gmantramp404 The Cocteau's have influenced countless famous bands and completely reshaped the musical industry and added two new music genre's. What have you done lately?
Cocteau Twins is something unique, is from Heaven.
Li adoro dagli anni 80 ho quasi tutti i loro dischi🖤🖤🖤
Una pena no haber sido joven cuando ellos existian como banda. Ahora en 2022 disfruto su carrera.
This song is a hug.
Saw them live in NYC in 94 4 calendar cafe album.Liz puts u on another planet. Cant believe my CDs from them are 30 years old.Timeless
So unique. Took me a long time to discover this but i made it.
Valentine’s Day 1989: I received an anonymous package through the internal mail at my college dorm. It contained a cassette with nothing on it but a handmade label which featured the words “our wedding music” in copperplate, in the midst of a beautiful and highly intricate floral design that must have taken the sender hours to create. When I played it, it featured this song, and nothing else. I was eventually introduced to my secret admirer, a girl I’d never previously met, but the marriage, dear reader, never came to pass. I’m not sure what happened to her in the end, but I think of her often, and about what could’ve been. If you’re out there reading this, thinking about those times too, just remember that the court order I took out stops you coming within 400 yards of me.

When he said, 'You are full of love' She fell down into this dirty mess Some people see me laugh and tell us, 'It's wrong to make fun of me' She fell down into this mess (Even then they don't give) (Try, try to fall) She fell down and he's so sick of it all And of me This part not out of her saw fit to drop Whispers might prove it all (You're just closer to me when you fall, but you broke) This would prove it all (You just closer to me, but you broke) This would prove it all Sleep now You susur, try to talk Reach out for that hand Reach out for that hand (And even they don't give any more) (Try, try to fall) Even then they don't give (Try, try to fall) You just closer to me at the fall But you don't want, want me hand You're just closer to me But you don't want, want my hand

It’s about a quantity surveyor that accidentally sat on some Lego in Burger King.
It's nice how the reel to reel gets equal screen time. I saw them in 86 or so at the town and country and Robin used to wind it on to get to the encores. Good old analog days!
Liz's face at the end of this beautiful piece pf music and song it's as if she isn't sure what people think ! I think it's a masterpiece liz ❤
Elisabeth Fraser is one the best vocalist in the world
This song reminds me of living in Eureka, CA and seeing the wide expanses of ocean along the coastal highways. They're high up on the cliffs over the expanse of beautiful blue, wide and clear ocean. Sometimes there are rocks, sometimes a bright, intense sun beaming upon the world and the dark, dark trees. It is a beautiful, wild place there. In winter, cold and dreary. In Spring full of flowers, sun, and beautiful sunsets. In Summer, intense sun and gorgeous rivers and green trees. Autumn can be full of smoke and terrifying but is worth it.

The smile of a guitarist who has a one in a million vocalist in his band
Beautifully melodic. Cocteau Twins always hit the spot. Their music gets me through my day
My favorite song of them. Loved the swarming guitars and Elizabeth vocal.
Their music is so relaxing to listen to and her voice is so angelic and soothing.
listening to a playlist and some tracks just stop you ... Carolyn's Fingers is now on endless repeat for this afternoon
A voice of unequalled beauty. Sends shivers down my spine each and every time I hear it.
Their music is truly timeless. It's anchored to some of the best times of my life... Especially cozy naps shared with my best gal friend at the time. It's a link between her and I.
My friends and I are sitting around a fire pit in my backyard; we’re drinking cocktails and smoking cigars and one of them asked me to play this song on my phone as we searched into music to play and listen too…. And the first Melody; my mind immediately exploded back some 32+ years. I’m back in my old high school it’s 1989 again. That was the last time I heard this song on a mixed tape that I made up(that I lost) as I’m walking the hallways of Venice high school and I’m listening to the song on my Walkman. The last time I heard this song was when I recorded it on my tape deck while I was listening to KROQ radio in Los Angeles. I had no idea it was a Cocteu Twins. When my buddy told me to play it, I was silent and stunned and quiet. My friend asked me m: “are you OK? It looks like you’ve seen a ghost”…. I was breaking down inside.
One of the best songs ever created by anyone. There is absolutely nothing else like Cocteau Twins.🙏🔥
