@shanel1975 Actually, this song was written in the 60's by a guy named John Loudermilk. I believe the Norah Jones version came before the Kevin Little remix. A lot of artists have actually covered it.

thanks for that! you are indeed correct! I had no idea this song was made so long ago! Wikipedia: "Turn Me On" is a song by John D. Loudermilk that was first recorded and released by Mark Dinning in 1961, as the B-side to his single "Lonely Island". Other notable versions are by Nellie Rutherford and Nina Simone.[1] Norah Jones released her version as the last single from her debut album Come Away with Me. The song was also performed by Shelby Dressel during her American Idol audition.[2] It has been suggested that the song influenced the composition of Leonard Cohen's 1969 song "Bird on the Wire".[3]

Cocorosie wouldnt normally support a song with such an obvious entitled/non-consensual attitude.

I've listened to many live versions of this, sometimes she says "Pour toutes les reines massacrées en Jamaïque.." For all the queens massacred in Jamaica. One show in particular Bianca begins by saying "In Jamaica they killed their queens, oh it's a sad, SAD story.."
